Ternopil State Medical University will cooperate with universities and medical institutions of Elbląg (Poland)

On August 26 the rector of Ternopil State Medical University Professor Mykhaylo Korda met with a delegation from the Polish city of Elbląg. During the meeting with Deputy Mayor of Elbląg Janusz Nowak, head of the Department for International Collaboration Zbigniew Szmurlo and director of a city sports club Marek Burkhardt, the parties agreed to develop and implement join projects. Ternopil State Medical University signed a cooperation agreement with colleagues from Argentina

On August 27 a delegation of the Argentine Republic visited TSMU. As a result of this meeting, the Rector of Ternopil State Medical University Professor Mykhylo Korda, the head of the Ukrainian Central Representation in the Argentine Republic, renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Pedro Lylyk and vice president of ICC Ukraine Taras Demkura signed a tripartite cooperation agreement. Charity work of TSMU international students

Students of Ternopil State Medical University from Iraq have recently gifted over eight bags filled with  humanitarian aid to the charity foundation Caritas and to the residential institution for children on Strimka Street. Items such as clothes, shoes, and blankets were collected by this year’s TSMU graduates. Eight thousand prospective students apply to study in Ternopil State Medical University

Ternopil State Medical University has finished accepting applications and documents for the next academic year. 7,949 young people applied for both state and individual financed programs of study as of August 2, 2016. As a comparison, last year this number was 7,447 people, and in 2014 – 6,634 people. As in previous years, the specialty of Medicine was the most popular. 4,366 people applied for 500 available spaces the University has a state license to accept. Of those, 200 will be state-financed. Friendly hugs and tears of farewell as the XI International Summer School wraps up

Participants of the XI International Student Summer School, which was taking place on the grounds of the education and recreation complex Chervona Kalyna of Ternopil State Medical University, prepared an upbeat and exciting concert program to mark closing of the camp on 24 July. First, the organizing committee presented souvenirs to the guests who came from other cities in Ukraine and abroad. On July 18-27 Ternopil State Medical University international students and members of the civic group  «Medicare and Social Welfare Initiative» (MEDCASOWI), held a charity event at the Novus mall. Every day from 10.00 to 15.00 they took blood pressure and measured blood glucose level for all interested passer-by. This initiative attracted considerable admiration from Ternopil residents who were happy to stop by at the medical station to check their health signs.
