Scientists of Ternopil State Medical University started collaboration with Czech colleagues

Lecturer in primary prevention of University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (Czech Republic) Marketa Kastnerova came with a working visit to Ternopil State Medical University on 27 October  2016. TSMU Rector met with representatives of international students’ associations

It has become a tradition that each month during the school year rector of Ternopil State Medical University  Professor Mykaylo Korda meets with the heads of international students’ associations to discuss current issues.   The most recent meeting took place on October 12, 2016. TSMU students continue their volunteer work

At the start of the new academic year students of Ternopil State Medical University did not waste time taking up charitable and volunteer projects they initiated. Recently, a group of students started regular shifts making pierogi for the military personnel in the ATO zone. Ukrainian Day of Libraries is traditionally being observed on the last day of September. TSMU international students participated in relay race

Friendship between Ternopil State Medical University international students and Lilia Prots, a well-known in our community activists and athlete, continues. During this summer, students from Ghana, Nigeria, Iraq and other countries on a number of occasions visited and taught at the children’s summer camp “Wonderful World,” which Ms. Prots have been organizing in Ternopil for the last several years. Ternopil State Medical University Students’ Conference took place on 27 September in the Convocations Hall of the administrative building. International research conference Clinical Aspects of Neuro- and Vascular Protection in Today Medicine took place on September 27 in the venue of Ternopil Regional Academic Ukrainian Drama Theater. 607 participants attended The conference, including 488 from the Ternopil region (146 neurologists and psychiatrists, 65 family doctors and 57 doctors of other specialties (endocrinologists, gynecologists, internists, anesthesiologists), and 45 interns) as well as 175 participants from other regions of Ukraine. On  September 29 parentless TSMU students had an opportunity to talk to the rector Professor Mykhaylo Korda, as well as vice-rectors, deans and heads of departments. Simulation training center opened in Ternopil State Medical University

A meeting of the academic council of Ternopil State Medical University which took place on September 27 was also an occasion for the grand opening of the new simulation training center, located in  the 3 Chekhov building. Implementation of the simulation center project underscores the commitment of TSMU administration to brining the most advanced global technologies into the academic process, allowing students to gain practical medical experience.
