Student concert on the occasion of TSMU 60th anniversary

The 60th anniversary of Ternopil State Medical University was an important occasion, calling for a number of events, each of which was carefully planned and prepared ahead of time. TSMU Student Parliament has organized its own event, a free concert for young people of Ternopil held on Theater Square. TSMU students planted an orchard

Administration of the Faculty of Medicine and Student Council of Ternopil State Medical University initiated on March 16, 2017 planting of 60 fruit trees on the grounds of Academic  and Recreation complex Chervona Kalyna. TSMU Rector met with Student Government

Rector of Ternopil State Medical University Professor Mykhaylo Korda on February 21 met with representatives of the Student Council. Students and TSMU administration officials discussed issues of concern for students and the ways to resolve them.   Doctors in training shared their plans for  organizing activities and events. Ternopil State Medical University international students become involved in research

Recently TSMU Student Council initiated a workshop for international students to involve them in research. Recently Ternopil State Medical University student Taras Moroz had the opportunity to study organization and functioning of student government at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Canada. Recently, Ternopil State Medical University students held Student Council elections. For almost all of the newly elected members this is the first time participating in student governance. TSMU Student Science Society promotes research among their peers

Recently, Ternopil State Medical University students interested in pursuing research projects, together with Student Council and Student Science Society organized a meeting with the head of SSS Kateryna Halei. During the meeting participants learned about making first steps in science, how to develop their research ideas, and how to write scientific publications. Young researchers received information about participation in conferences, forums, congresses in Ukraine and abroad.   Kateryna Halei also spoke about Student Science Society activities, its goals, objectives and achievements.

Student Council elections took place at Ternopil State Medical University

On 27 October and 3 November TSMU students voted for new members to the Student Council. TSMU Student Council members participate in the project “Steps to the Future”

The first meeting of the newly elected members of the Ternopil State Medical University Student Council on 30 October took the form of communication training. It was organized by the international corporation “Yulia-pharm” within the framework of the national educational platform “Steps to the Future” (project coordinator in Ternopil State Medical University – Taras Moroz) and “EPR” project (Coordinator in Ternopil State Medical University – Dmytro Myroniuk). Meeting with a leading British neurosurgeon Henry Marsh in Ternopil State Medical University

On 21 September Professor Henry Marsh and his colleagues, neurosurgeon Andriy Myzak (Lviv, Ukraine) and Roman Zoltowski (Poznan, Poland) visited Ternopil State Medical University at the invitation of the university administration and Student Council. Dr. Marsh, CBE,  is a co-founder and senior neurosurgeon of the International Neurosurgery Center, a member of the Royal College of Neurosurgeons and the author of critically acclaimed memoir Do No Harm: Stories of Life, Death and Brain Surgery, which was translated into Ukrainian by Dr. Myzak. Henry Marsh, a renowned British neurosurgeon will visit Ternopil State Medical University on the invitation of TSMU Student Council and administration on September 21, 2016 Dr. Marsh will meet with the student body and give a lecture titled What Does It Take to Be a Good Doctor. The lecture will take place at 16.00 in the main convocation hall of TSMU administrative building (Maidan Voli, 1).
