Applied Chemistry in Dentistry is one of the list of elective disciplines, which is aimed at forming in the future dentists a chemical understanding of the use of various dental materials, the impact on them of components of daily food, structure and mechanisms of functioning of biologically active compounds; understanding of the physicochemical laws of the course of
biochemical processes and the action of drugs in the human body at the molecular and cellular levels.
AIM AND TASKS OF DISCIPLINE
Formation of systematic knowledge about physicochemical regularities of biochemical processes and the drugs action in human body at the molecular and cellular levels; the structure and properties of colloid-dispersed systems; the structure and mechanisms of biologically active compounds function; the structure and mechanisms of functioning of dental polymers function and their related materials; the structure and mechanisms of functioning of dental materials of different nature.
