News from the BUP

The BUP PhD Award 2022 The award is a distinction given to the author of what is judged to be the most qualified PhD work defended at any of the BUP participating universities. The award is established in two research areas, one award for each: Natural Sciences, Technology and EngineeringSocial Sciences and Humanities Any author affiliated with a BUP participating university that has defended their PhD thesis during 2021 can be nominated. For the BUP PhD Award 2022 we accept thesis defended in 2021 and nominated by the supervisor/s of the thesis. The winners will receive a prize in the form of a diploma and support up to a maximum of 1000€ for either attending a scientific conference or publishing in a peer-review scientific journal. The deadline for nominations is 15 May 2022.Read more
The Baltic University Programme welcomes you to The BUP Teachers’ Day An afternoon filled with inspiration, chance for sharing experience and best practice, and a perfect opportunity to get in touch with old friends and new contacts among the diverse community of teachers in higher education within the BUP. That is what you will get when you attend the Teachers’ Day. The BUP Teachers’ Day is an online event that takes place on 27 April and it is hosted by the BUP coordinating secretariat in Finland. Please register on 25 April at the latest.People

The Baltic University Programme informs about Ways to share your research with colleagues Did you know that you are able to add your research profile on our website? You are able to add your contact information and a link to your research which will be featured and collected under our themes together with other researchers within the same field. Click here to read more about our researchers and how to add your own research profile. A great way of sharing your research with everyone within the BUP is to submit your research to be a part of our Research Notes Letter (RNL). The presented abstracts include some of the most recent publications concerning the Baltic Sea Region and our ten BUP Themes. University of Tartu calls for registrations to the MOOC course “Common Challenges of Competing Regionalisms” Are you interested in widening your knowledge about comparative regionalism and integration processes in Europe and Eurasia? Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology invites you to Training course about BIM (Building Information Modeling) The Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture of the PBS Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology carries out the project titled “A.I. am here – Digitization of processes as an opportunity for sustainable development in the construction industry”. The project is in the framework of the NAWA Spinaker program – Intensive International Education Programs.  All BUP colleagues are welcome to take part in a training course, organised within the project, which focuses on BIM (Building Information Modeling).
