The task of studing Advanced Clinical Pharmacology is to teach specialists the influence of drugs on the body of the sick person, the processes of absorption, distribution, biotransformation and excretion of drugs, the study of adverse effects of drugs, and features of the effect of different states of the organism (age, pregnancy, disease, etc.) on sensitivity to drugs, the interaction of various drugs in their simultaneous appointment, study and evaluation of information on achievements, mistakes, corrections, prospects of using medicines for the prevention, treatment and diagnosis of diseases.

The final goal of learning of the discipline “Advanced Clinical Pharmacology” consists in the fact that specialists in their future careers should know adequate dosage form and dose mode when prescribing to patients with major pathological syndromes; the main methods of clinical investigation of patients to evaluate the efficacy and safety of prescribing medications and analyze results; the basic parameters of pharmacokinetics for rational prescribing; features of clinical pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, side effects and interactions of major groups of drugs;         the consequences of drug interactions with the combined use and possess the skills prevention and correction of adverse effects of medicines;  potential complications of pharmacotherapy.
