The course “Medical Psychology” explores the psychological aspects of the physician and patient behavior. It examines the manifestations of mental illness, mental role in their occurrence, course of the disease, treatment and health strengthening.

The subject “Mental health” provides formation of skills to apply knowledge of medical psychology in the process of further education and in professional activity; teaches the basis for a doctor to understand the psychology of a sick person, the formation of a healthy lifestyle and the prevention of mental disorders in the process of life and in various diseases. “Medical Psychology” course will give a grounding in the key areas of Medical Psychology, including the psychological science of mental health-related experiences, developing basic therapeutic skills, further training in research methods, as well as understanding the key role of the community and social context in psychological wellbeing.
