We are contacting you on behalf of the Organising Committee of the International Student Congress Of (bio)Medical Sciences (ISCOMS) in Groningen, the Netherlands. Each year we have students from all over the world who attend our congress. This is partly because of the assistance we get from our past participants in promoting our congress, and partly due to assistance from officials at universities who forward our information. Last year your help in spreading the word about ISCOMS contributed to the highest amount of abstracts being submitted thus far: 941! We were hoping that you could help us again in reaching students at your university.
ISCOMS is the largest biomedical student congress in Europe and is growing every year. It is a leading forum for worldwide research exchange between students in all fields of biomedical sciences. The primary aims of the congress are to offer a venue for student research exchange and to support student research. Therefore, ISCOMS stimulates international cooperation between scientists and students. Moreover, the congress provides a starting point for motivated and talented students to pursue a career in (bio)medical sciences. The programme of the congress includes presentations from students, keynote lectures from esteemed scientists, and interactive workshops. In the letter and poster attached to this e-mail you will find more information regarding our congress.
The 26th edition of ISCOMS will take place from the 3rd until the 7th of June 2019 in the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), the Netherlands. Last year’s congress was a great success with 959 participants attending from all over the world. Due to the enthusiastic reactions we received regarding the expansion of the programme with a third congress day, we decided to proceed with this extra congress day. This results in more workshops, more speakers and an extended social programme.
The abstract submission will be open from the 29th of October 2018 till the 7th of February 2019.
As mentioned earlier, we already have contacted our past participants to help us promote our upcoming edition. However, we believe that with your assistance we will be able to maintain the high-quality research that is part of our legacy. I have attached a copy of our poster and flyer to this email, as well as a letter addressed to students who may be interested in the congress. *If you could display the posters at your (bio)medical faculties and forward the email to the students that would be greatly appreciated.*
Also, we would like to kindly ask you to *send us your postal address* if you would also like to receive hard copies of our posters and flyers which we will then sent to you.
