EUA welcomes the agreement reached by the European Parliament and Council of the EU on the size and allocation of next year’s budget. The outcome for Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ sends a clear signal about the importance of future-oriented investments.

On 17 November, EUA released the findings of a snapshot survey on the impact of Covid-19 on universities starting the academic year. Conducted at the end of October, it is based on the replies of 26 national rectors’ conferences across Europe.
On 4 November, EUA and two dozen other networks and associations published a letter to the European Commission voicing the united wish of the European knowledge sector for the UK to associate to the Horizon Europe programme.
The Conference on the Future of Europe is an initiative for all Europeans to voice their ideas and debate the future of our continent. EUA submitted its contribution, focusing on the role of universities in shaping the future of Europe.
On 29 October, the EUA Council approved the applications of 19 new members, including 13 individual full members and six individual associate members. Members benefit from a unique network and have access to a wealth of knowledge.
