Levites Choir consists of international students of I.Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University. They decently presented the university during the VI International Festival and Contest of Spiritual Song “I’m Blessed!” It was held in Ternopil on 15-17 April. This contest has gained national and international recognition and is the first in the national ranking of the best events of the year.
More than 1,500 participants from all over Ukraine and other countries visit the festival every year. This year choirs from Poland, Moldova, Georgia, Romania participated in concert performances. From 2015, the festival has become international, but groups from other countries always took part in it.
Ternopil citizens and guests enjoyed choral singing on April 17 at the Theater Square. A big stage was built there. So each team had a large appreciative audience.
The representatives of TSMU noted the perfect arrangement of this festival and were very happy about taking part in it. Their colleagues from Moldova were also very positive about our students. They said that they were impressed by their skilled performance.
“I visited all performances. It really was a wonderful event. I’m still delighted with the performances of singers from around the world. I appreciate the facilitators for the opportunity to take part, and our university, especially the Deputy Dean of International Students Department Olena Pokryshko for the invitation,” the participants from Ternopil State Medical University Ilunha Deborah said.
Another participant said that he gained a valuable experience at this contest and was honored to participate at the festival. “We had an incredible opportunity to praise God and to glorify His name. We are grateful to the organizers of this event and are willing to participate again next year,” Ezra Padi-Rap said.
The choir of international students of TSMU were awarded a laureate diploma of the festival by the Ternopil mayor Sergii Nadal. This group is unique because it consists of representatives of different countries. It includes: Ezra Padi Odonkor (Ghana), Priscilla Tawai Elisha (Nigeria), Rita Opare (Ghana), Bukari Ahmed Sambian (Ghana), David Fayie Godwin (Sierra Leone), Elizabeth Opoku Awuah (Ghana), Razak Mohammed ( Ghana), Martha Ataa Boakye (Ghana), Mavis Appiah (Ghana), Akainyah Nelson Mandela (Ghana), Shadrack Awuah Barffuor (Ghana), Christabel Adomako Yeboah (Ghana), Patricia Sheriff (Liberia), Nii Saul Quaynoo Mettle (Ghana) , Mark Sheriff (Liberia), Gloria Yatha (Congo), Kenneth Annof Koranteng (Ghana), Debora Ilunga (South Africa).
