Ternopil State Medical University dentists participated in FDI Annual World Dental Congress

Dentists from all over the world met in Poznan (Poland) on 7-10 September 2016 to discuss the most pressing issues in the field of dentistry, and to learn how the health of  the oral cavity affects health of the entire body.

FDI Annual World Congress is a unique event allowing the participants to network and discuss recent developments in dentistry. This international symposium also features high-quality scientific program presented by the best and most renowned national and international speakers.



FDI gathers in one place the “heavyweights” of the international dental community, each of whom is a specialist in a particular field of modern dentistry. The scientific program of the congress included presentations in all fields of dentistry.

Assistants of therapeutic dentistry Ternopil State Medical University I. Suhovolets and M. Levkiv attended the international congress of dentists FDI 2016 and the accompanying exhibition of dental equipment, dental instruments and materials, where were represented more than 300 companies and.

 The Congress and Exhibition of dental equipment were attended by dentists and scientists from 115 countries. With the exception of the hosts from Poland, the most numerous delegations were from Ukraine, Canada, USA, Australia and Norway.



Also, during the congress were offered workshops in endodontic dentistry. The participants had an opportunity  learn with new approaches in working with root canals.

Participation in such Congress is an opportunity for both doctors and the public to understand that daily compliance with proper oral hygiene, combined with regular visits to a dentist is a key to improving the quality of life.

In addition to the meetings with  top leaders of the world of dentistry, the Congress organizers offered a rich cultural program which included trips to a number of attractions in Poland.
