TSMU professor visited United States as a part of Open World Program

On March 29 – April 9, 2017 assistant professor of emergency medical care Oksana Sydorenko visited several cities and institutions in the United States as a part of Open World program. According to the American Councils for Education website, the program was established in 1999 and is funded through appropriations provided by the US Congress. Ternopil State Medical University will collaborate with Swedish medical institutions

Recently representatives of medical institutions from Sweden met with the Ternopil State Medical University rector Dr. Mykhaylo Korda to discuss areas of future cooperation. The Swedish delegation consisted of coordinator Marie Siestedt, cardiac surgeon Mogens Bugge, surgeon Patrik Cikota, professor C.G. Young TSMU scientists took part in an international conference in Poland

Assistant professor of Ternopil State Medical University Department Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology Krystyna Kurylo and fourth year students of The Faculty of Medicine Kateryna Halei, Ihor Stetsiuk, and Bohdan Korylchuk took part in the VII international conference of students and young scientists in Wroclaw Medical University ( Poland) to discuss current issues in medicine and pharmacy.   Conference participants reviewed reports and presentations on current topics in plenary and sectional sessions, and attended workshops. Ternopil State Medical University Sports Fest 2017 has its first winners

Association of Indian students of Ternopil State Medical University has introduced initiated a sports and  friendship festival, which aims to strengthen the friendly relations between Ukrainian youth and students from other countries studying in Ternopil. Event’s program include 100 and 400 meters race, relay races and team sports – football, volleyball, badminton, and cricket. TSMU Dentistry Clinic opened its doors

University Hospital Dental Clinic located on 7 Chekhova opened its doors on April 5. This clinic will serve the residents of our city and region, providing services such as free dental diagnosis and patients consults by TSMU professors and other specialists in therapeutic, pediatric, orthopedic and surgical dentistry. Professors of TSMU Department of Children’s Diseases and Pediatric Surgery consulted in regional hospitals

Faculty of the Department of Children’s Diseases and Pediatric Surgery continue to visit remote areas of Ternopil region with to give seminars and consult doctors and patients. Logistical support for these visits is provided by Ternopil State Medical University administration. Over the last few months they had made trips to Kozova, Berezhany, Zalischyky, Zborivy, Monastyrska and Kremenets districts, during which they consulted patients. Ternopil State Medical University professor gave lectures to students of Wroclaw Medical University

Head of Ternopil State Medical University department of childhood diseases and pediatric surgery professor Oksana Boyarchuk on 19-25 March 2017 visited Wroclaw Medical University as a part of academic exchange program ERASMUS + Staff Mobility for Teaching. The visit took place at the Department and Hospital of Clinical Immunology and Pediatrics and in Hospital Pediatrics and Infectious diseases. Ternopil State Medical University students organized a public awareness campaign for World Tuberculosis Day

On March 24, 2017 on the occasion of World TB Day, students of Ternopil State Medical University organized a number of events to call attention to this problem. The doctors in training joined forces with the members of Red Cross Society volunteer squad. Team of TSMU international students placed third in inter-university Futsal tournament

On 20-24 March 2017 Ternopil State Medical University  hosted a Futsal tournament among University students. Nine student teams participated in the tournament, including representatives of Ternopil National Pedagogical University (2 teams), Ternopil National Economic University (2 teams), Berezhansk Agricultural University, Kremenets Teachers College, Ternopil National Technical University and I Ternopil State medical University (2 teams). Head of Ternopil State Medical University Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology Professor Oleksandra Oleschuk on 11-18 March 2017 visited Department of Clinical Pharmacology in Wroclaw Medical University, Poland within the framework of academic exchange program ERASMUS +.
