TSMU meets spiritual needs of its students

Today more than 1500 foreign students from 62 countries of the world are enrolled to Ternopil State Medical University. They all come from different cultures and practice different religions. Visit of Saskatchewan Polytechnic students to TSMU

During three weeks of April 29 to May 21 a group of students from Saskatchewan Polytechnic School of Nursing: Briana Bourgeault, Aleah Sakowsky, Nicole Cotterill, Melissa Grenier, and professor Marilyn Schigol visited Ternopil State Medical University. TSMU graduate student participated in academic exchange program in the USA

Graduate student of Ternopil State Medical University Yevhen Loza participated in the Open World program, which aims to strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation between Ukraine and the United States by enabling Ukrainian leaders in various fields to meet with their American counterparts and exchange experiences and ideas on the most important issues for both sides. International students joined a charity drive

Over 10 thousand hryvnas collected Polish students of Ternopil State Medical University. The money are earmarked for the treatment of 5 year-old Marichka Hvozdyska diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Dentistry students from Poland decided to help by collecting charity pledges form other students and Polish diaspora. University administration expresses its sincere gratitude to students Przemysław Żanko, Dajana Murmyło, Michał Lenartowicz, Karol Świątek, Jakub Janczarski, and Estera Błaszczyk for their efforts. TSMU Students brought fun activities to children’s summer camp

International students of Ternopil State Medical University visited the Rainbow children’s summer camp. The camp invites children whose parents serve in the ATO area and it has been organized for the second year in a row, by the Ternopil Center for Psychological Rehabilitation “Step Toward”. In the camp, children can take part in various master classes, go on trips, and meet interesting people. Canadian expert gave master class on simulation training

An international conference Ternopil Dental Summit took place in the academic and recreation complex Chervona Kalyna. More than two hundred researchers and practicing dentists , students and interns from different regions of Ukraine, and other countries took part in the meeting . The sixtieth anniversary of of Ternopil State Medical University is a milestone date in its history. It was marked with celebrations on May 26, 2017. The main event, convocation, took place in municipal Berezil Performing Arts center. During the convocation celebrating the 60th anniversary of Ternopil State Medical University, which took place on May 26, 2017 at the Berezil Arts Center, the university has received plaques confirming its ISO 9001: 2015 (quality management) certification.  The certification is a result of certification audit, which verified implementation of educational and research activities in accordance with international standards and was conducted by external auditors Bureau Veritas Certification Ukraine. Ternopil State Medical University students organized events for the World No Tobacco Day

Each year TSMU students organize and participate in events dedicated to tobacco control. On May 31 of this year our students together with representatives of the regional Health Center and Red Cross Society volunteer corps (many of whom are also TSMU students) gathered together by Ivan Franko monument  in Ternopil to urge passersby to quit the harmful habit of smoking. The 60th anniversary of Ternopil State Medical University was an important occasion, calling for a number of events, each of which was carefully planned and prepared ahead of time. TSMU scholars took part in the International Congress of Medical Sciences in Bulgaria

International Congress of Medical Sciences (ICMS 2017) took place in mid-May in Sofia, Bulgaria. Residents of  TSMU Department of primary care, general practice and family medicine Uliana Zakharchuk and Natalia Melnyk took part in the event. ICMS 2017 was a joint effort of the Bulgarian association of medical students and ICMS 2017 Organizing Committee. Ternopil State Medical University received awards from the National Academy of Medical Sciences

Ternopil State Medical University was recently awarded the highest distinction of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine during the 60th anniversary celebrations.
