Ternopil State Medical University student participated in Antwerp Medical Students’ Congress

From the 13th to 17th of September 2017, EMSA (European Medical Students’ Association) organized the 11th Antwerp Medical Students’ Congress “Under Pressure”.

On the 13th and 14th of September biomedical students from all over the world presented their research to their peers. Dr. Mudassar Amin won  the first prize in an oral competition by presenting his case report (Scientific Advisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. R. Komorovsky).

From the 15th until the 17th of September lectures and workshops were given by internationally renowned experts and university teachers all working within the field of extreme medicine. The program included lectures and presentations ranging from army medicine to disaster management and the treatment of shock. The academic program was completed by an extensive social program to network with fellow international students and get to know the historically important town of Antwerp. The program included a guided tour of the city, a museum visit, pub crawl and much more.
