National EMSA Assembly will develop its strategy for the future

Recently, Ternopil State Medical University students-members of the European Medical Student Association had a scheduled branch meeting. During the seminar, physicians-in-training worked on their first aid skills, in particular cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Call for International Academic Exchange program

Ternopil State Medical University Office of International Relations invites the students of 3-4th year of study (current academic year) of Medical and International Students’ Faculties to apply for an  Academic Exchange program to study  at Wroclaw Medical University in the 2018-2019 academic year (Wroclaw, Poland). The host university will waive the tuition fee and allow the students to use its dormitory accommodation. On February 4 – 11, 2018, associate pediatrics professor of Ternopil State Medical University Natalia Haliiash took part in the seminar Medical Education, organized by the Open Medical Institute (OMI) with the financial support of the American Austrian Foundation (AAF) and Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economics of Austria. International football tournament took place at TSMU

For two weeks in a row, on weekends (3-4 and 10-11 February 2018), an international football tournament took place at the sports complex of Ternopil State Medical University. Twelve student teams took part in the competition. The teams included student athletes from Iraq, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, India, Morocco, Cameroon, and Ukraine. The competition for the main prize was intense, and as a result of it the BlackTeam, which included students from Ghana, took the first place. TSMU scholar took part in international ESC Heart & Brain Workshop

On January 19-20, 2018 an educational seminar on stroke ESC Heart & Brain Workshop took place in Prague, Czech Republic. Associate professor of Ternopil State Medical University Department of Emergency Medical Care S.Y. Lypovetska participated in the training. The event, aimed at cardiologists, neurologists, vascular surgeons, and interventional neurologists, was organized by the European Society of Cardiology. TSMU students placed second among international teams in emergency responders competition in Poland

The 13th International Winter Championship of Medical Rescuers (XIII Międzynarodowe Zimowe Mistrzostwa w Ratownictwie Medycznym) took place in the Polish town of Bielsko-Biała on January 23-26, 2018. On January 31, 2018 third-year students of TSMU Bachelor’s Program in Nursing took part in a selection process for Erasmus+   student exchange program to study in Pope John Paul II State School of Higher Vocational Education in Biala Podlaska (Poland) in 2018 spring semester.
