Defense for Summer Practice

This is to inform you about the defense for summer practice (students who did all or part of their practice outside Ternopil) in Room 1a at 3.30 pm. on September 18, 2018 for the 5th year students and Room 3 at 3.30 pm. on September 19, 2018 for the 6th year students. TSMU students did summer training at Wrocław Medical University

The cooperation between the medical schools of Wrocław and Ternopil, and tradition of summer exchange visits for their students continues. New cafeteria, food court and sports area opened on TSMU campus

A new student cafeteria on 5 Zhyvova (Dorm 1)  offers Ternopil State Medical University students not only delicious and inexpensive meals, have a cup of coffee or tea, but also a place to get together, talk, hold a group meeting, or organize a small concert for friends. The facility can host up to 48 people at a time. On September 3, 2018 the cafeteria had its first visitors, including representatives of TSMU administration and student government. Staff and students of Ternopil State Medical University can become bone marrow donors

Recently, Ternopil residents organized the first non-governmental registry of bone marrow donors. This idea stemmed the dire need for marrow transplants. Currently in Ukraine these surgeries are not performed, while such operations abroad can cost up to 100 thousand dollars. Half of this cost goes for the search and selection of a donor. Those in need of bone marrow transplants have only 25% chance of finding a suitable family donor, requiring the rest to look for non-related donors in the registries of hematopoietic stem cells. TSMU matriculated a new cohort of students

On August 31, 2018 Academic Council of the Ternopil State Medical University held matriculation of a new cohort of medical students. The event took place in the administrative building courtyard. The 1050 freshmen took a solemn oath to dedicate their lives to a noble cause: the fight for human health.
