Ternopil National Medical University is a participant of the European Union Erasmus + Program “Innovative Rehabilitation Education – Introduction to New Master Degree Programs in Ukraine 2018-2021”. Recently, thanks to the implementation of this project, the first stage of the establishment of the laboratory of physical therapy at the department of medical rehabilitation took place. At the expense of the European Union the state-of-art equipment for the practical training of students of the program “Physical therapy. Ergotherapy” have been purchased with the total cost 768491 UAH. In particular, rehabilitation device MOTOmed viva 2, universal stairs for walking with an inclined ramp S / U, rehabilitation tables with height adjustment, manual table for rehabilitation with load, orthopedic PARAMOBIL device with static-dynamic module, universal cabin for hanging therapy WSC-4.
The project also plans to equip another training and practical laboratory in which students will be able to learn how to work with the latest equipment, namely the Timo stabilization platform for functional assessment and rehabilitation, and a device for computer correction of upper and lower limb muscle disorders. This equipment is effectively used in the educational process of students and for the rehabilitation of patients with disorders of the nervous and musculoskeletal system.
Thanks to the participation of the University in the Erasmus + program, a significant step has been taken that brings the quality of physical therapists training at TNMU to European standards as closely as possible.
