TNMU Help in Overcoming the Pandemic

I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University is a participant of the Ukrainian-Swiss Project “Development of Medical Education”. Two years ago, our university won a competition for participation in this project in two areas – General Practice and Family Medicine and Nursing. The project was launched by the Swiss Institute of Tropical Medicine and Public Health with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Its main task is to assist universities in implementation of educational innovations in the framework of the reform of medical education by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. It is aimed at medical universities, where raising general practitioners and family physicians are trained, as well as the heads of primary care facilities. The project is also designed for medical educational institutions for nurses: medical schools, colleges, university faculties, nursing schools.

The second issue of a bulletin on the activities of partner institutions within the project has been published recently. This publication also contains news about the TNMU activities for overcoming of the pandemic. This time the project leaders also prepared a special subject of the bulletin on the partnership initiative of creation of an online course “Medical care during the COVID-19 pandemic”.
