I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University is involved in the Ukrainian-Swiss Project “Development of Medical Education”. On August 28, 2020, TNMU has received technical equipment from the project managers. In particular, in order to provide more effective distance learning, laptops, monitors, TVs, webcams, multimedia speakers, tripods, microphones, extension cords and software were provided. The administration of the university is grateful to the Ukrainian-Swiss Project “Development of Medical Education” for this lovely surprise. All the equipment will be useful already at the beginning of the new academic year.

Two years ago our university won a competition for participation in this project in two areas: General Practice of Family Medicine and Nursing. The project was initiated by the Swiss Institute of Tropical Medicine and Public Health and supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Its main task is to assist universities in implementation of educational innovations within the reform of medical education of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. It is aimed at medical universities, where raising general practitioners and family physicians train, as well as the heads of primary care facilities. The project is also intended to institutions of medical education for nurses, i.e. schools, colleges, faculties, institutes of nursing.
