TNMU Signed a Cooperation Agreement with Ternopil Research Forensic Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine

On October 27, 2021, Professor Mykhaylo Korda, the Rector of TNMU, signed an agreement on research and academic cooperation with Ternopil Research Expert Forensic Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Research and Training Conference “Medical and Social Problems of Childhood” Took Place in TNMU

On October 21-22, 2021, the National Research and Training Conference “Medical and Social Problems of Childhood” took place in I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. The conference was organized by the staff of the Department of Department of Children’s Diseases and Pediatric Surgery of TNMU. During the event there were two plenary sessions: “Diagnosis of congenital errors of immunity” and “Aspects of multidisciplinary care of children with spina bifida”, as well as three sectional sessions. TNMU Students Took Part in the 3rd International Medical Conference

Some international students of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University are active members of the NGO “HMI – HELP MOTHERLAND INTERNATIONAL”. They recently took part in the 3rd International Medical Conference, which took place on October 14-17, 2021 in Ivano-Frankivsk. The theme of the event was how to become a professional doctor and the role of a mentor in it. In total, more than 200 participants from 32 countries joined the conference, mostly from the United States, Ukraine, India, Nigeria, Ghana, Pakistan, Egypt, Morocco and Poland. Continue reading →

Master Class on Fundamentals of Surgery for TNMU Students

On October 17, 2021, the student project of TNMU MedGradient organized a master class on suturation. This workshop was initiated by Prajwal Tippannavar Gangappa (group IM-460), Tushar Panchal (group IM-467), Mohit Raj (group IM-357), Nrupakshi Chauhan (group IM-354). At first, students learned how to properly make friction knot, to use surgical instruments. After that, they moved on to the practical part of the lesson and applied sutures to the pigskin. A total of 32 students joined the seminar.  

TNMU Students Taught Lyceum Students the Fundamentals of Home Care

The 5th-year medical students Alina Zhemela, Olexandr Terenda, 6th-year student Anastasia Smachylo and Associate Professor Iryna Smachylo presented terms and conditions of admission to TNMU and delivered a course of home care for pupils of grades 9-11 of Ternopil Secondary School Law Lyceum No. 2. On October 9-11, 2021 the World Congress on Trichoscopy, Hair and Nail Diseases was held in the city of Sorrento (Italy). Student Project of TNMU MedGRADiENT Continues Improving Knowledge of Pharmacology

On October 10, 2021, the second pharmacology lesson was held within MedGRADiENT project. Anna-Maria Koval, the student of group MM-422, organized a seminar on Cholinergic Pharmacology. In total, more than 30 students took part in this lesson. Restrictions have been imposed due to COVID-19 pandemic. Students gained knowledge about muscarinic and nicotine cholinoreceptors, pharmacodynamics of cholinomimetics, direct and indirect cholinoblockers, muscle relaxants and N-cholinomimetics. Natalia Volotovska, Assistant Professor of the Department of Physiology, Bioethics and Biosafety of TNMU won the 7th International Festival-Competition of Ukrainian Culture in Slovenia “Berehynia” for her author’s song written and inspired by the film “Neskoreni (Unconquered)”.
