TNMU Signed Memorandum on the Development of Effective Clinical Training Model for Masters in Physical Therapy

On December 13, 2022, a Memorandum of Cooperation and Interaction was signed between the Momentum Wheels for Humanity and I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University with the aim of developing an effective clinical training model for physical therapists at the second (Master’s) level of higher education.


Momentum Wheels for Humanity together with the Ukrainian Association of Physical Therapy (UAPT), the National Assembly of Persons with Disabilities of Ukraine (NAPD), the Group for Active Rehabilitation (GAR), the Ukrainian Research Institute of Prosthetics and Rehabilitation (Kharkiv) and a non-governmental organization “Human Study” implements the project “Strengthening rehabilitation services in the health systems” (SRSHS) with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with the aim of strengthening the systems of providing rehabilitation services and improving the qualifications of the workforce.


As part of the implementation of the memorandum, it is planned to improve education and clinical training of Master’s students in physical therapy by improving the training program and curriculum, deepening the knowledge of teachers, clinical training coordinators and clinical supervisors, and creating or strengthening the office of preclinical practice. Our university is one of the five universities of Ukraine which has signed such a memorandum.
