TSMU opened a new gym facility

Recently Ternopil State Medical University opened a new modern gym in the dorm 1 located on 3 Zhyvova. It has now become even more convenient for medical students to take care of their health. The gym has high quality fitness equipment, including Inter Athletic Gym and Professional Line, as well as Fitex Cardiovascular equipment. TSMU men’s volleyball team took third place in city-wide university competition

The men’s volleyball team of Ternopil State Medical University on March 26-28, 2018took part in the II Open Ternopil University Games. The competition was organized by the Department for Family, Youth Policy and Sports of Ternopil City Council and the Ternopil Regional Committee on Physical Education and Sport of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Traditional Rector Cup in futsal took place at TSMU

Student Parliament of Ternopil State Medical University hosted a futsal tournament for the Rector Cup at TSMU athletic complex on February 26 – March 1, 2018. Students of our university launched the futsal tournament a few years ago. This year, the competition was fierce, and the winner of the main prize was not determined until the last minutes of the tournament. International football tournament took place at TSMU

For two weeks in a row, on weekends (3-4 and 10-11 February 2018), an international football tournament took place at the sports complex of Ternopil State Medical University. Twelve student teams took part in the competition. The teams included student athletes from Iraq, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, India, Morocco, Cameroon, and Ukraine. The competition for the main prize was intense, and as a result of it the BlackTeam, which included students from Ghana, took the first place. Sports flash mob took place at TSMU

For several years now Ternopil State Medical University has been involved in the citywide International Day of University Sport, aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle and popularizing different sports activities among young people. On 20 September, in TSMU’s Athletics Hall students and instructors from Department of Physical Rehabilitation, Human Health and Physical Education took part in a flash mob, during which they performed a series of physical workouts, including floor push-calisthenics and balance exercises. Ternopil State Medical University Sports Fest 2017 has its first winners

Association of Indian students of Ternopil State Medical University has introduced initiated a sports and  friendship festival, which aims to strengthen the friendly relations between Ukrainian youth and students from other countries studying in Ternopil. Event’s program include 100 and 400 meters race, relay races and team sports – football, volleyball, badminton, and cricket. Team of TSMU international students placed third in inter-university Futsal tournament

On 20-24 March 2017 Ternopil State Medical University  hosted a Futsal tournament among University students. Nine student teams participated in the tournament, including representatives of Ternopil National Pedagogical University (2 teams), Ternopil National Economic University (2 teams), Berezhansk Agricultural University, Kremenets Teachers College, Ternopil National Technical University and I Ternopil State medical University (2 teams). Rector’s Cup is presented to the winners of basketball tournament

Ternopil State Medical University supports athletics and encourages participation of students in sports competitions. On 14-16 March 2017, TSMU athletic complex hosted a basketball tournament for the Rector’s Cup, and dedicated  to the 60th anniversary of the University. Ternopil State Medical University rector gave recognition awards to best students

During TSMU Academic Council meeting which took place on 14 December, rector of Ternopil State Medical University Professor Mykhaylo Korda recognized the best students of the university for their achievements in studies, research, athletics, arts, and charity work. TSMU international students participated in relay race

Friendship between Ternopil State Medical University international students and Lilia Prots, a well-known in our community activists and athlete, continues. During this summer, students from Ghana, Nigeria, Iraq and other countries on a number of occasions visited and taught at the children’s summer camp “Wonderful World,” which Ms. Prots have been organizing in Ternopil for the last several years.
