TSMU students collected funds to help children in need

On October 10, 2018 and on the occasion of the World Mental Health Day, students of Ternopil State Medical University Department of Psychiatry, Narcology, and Medical Psychology have carried out a number of events to raise funds to purchase of medicines for children-residents of the Care House in Chortkiv. Ternopil State Medical University scholars took part in seminar on kidney health of children with spina bifida

Head of TSMU Department of Children’s Diseases and Pediatric Surgery, Professor Oksana Boyarchuk and assistant professor Kateryna Hlushko took part in an informational day on kidney health and treatment of children with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. A team of Ternopil State Medical University doctors brought outpatient care to children in rural area

A team of pediatric doctors from Ternopil State Medical University have visited little patients in the village Uvysla. Assistant professors of pediatric diseases and pediatric surgery Tamara Vorontsova (team leader), Liubov Volianska, Vira Synytska, Pavlo Hoshchynskyi, assistant professor of otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology and neurosurgery Kateryna Aleksevych and neurologist Volodymyr Musienko examined the children and consulted their parents. Ternopil State Medical University professor gave lectures to students of Wroclaw Medical University

Head of Ternopil State Medical University department of childhood diseases and pediatric surgery professor Oksana Boyarchuk on 19-25 March 2017 visited Wroclaw Medical University as a part of academic exchange program ERASMUS + Staff Mobility for Teaching. The visit took place at the Department and Hospital of Clinical Immunology and Pediatrics and in Hospital Pediatrics and Infectious diseases. These units are located in the Jerzego Gromkowskiego Provincial Hospital, which is one of the most modern hospitals in Poland’s Lower Silesia. TSMU Choir continues its charitable work

We previously wrote that Ternopil State Medical University choir donated to several items Ternopil hospice, including 3 bedside toilets and 10 sets of bed linen. (More here: https://www.tdmu.edu.ua/en/2017/03/02/members-of-tsmu-choir-gave-charity-help-to-ternopil-hospice/). However, this was only the first step in the philanthropy efforts of our choristers. On Monday 13 March, representatives of the choir completed the second part of charitable giving  to medical facilities. Ternopil State Medical University supported launching the Diabetes School

On February 23, 2017 Children’ Diabetes School Opened in Ternopil Regional Children’s Hospital. This is a joint project of the hospital and Ternopil State Medical University. Ternopil State Medical University signed a cooperation agreement with the Center for Child Support (Poland)

On 9 February 2017, Renata Blecha, President of the Center for Child Support (Fundacja pomocu dzeciam) in Żywiec, Poland met with rector of Ternopil State Medical University, Professor Mykhaylo Korda to discuss areas of cooperation. Center for Child Support is one of the largest and best-equipped facilities in Poland and Europe. It employs over 80 experienced professionals (speech therapists, developmental-delay therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitators, psychologists, etc.) that assist 300 children with special needs.
