Rector of Ternopil State Medical University met with Director of Ukrainian State Center for International Education and Secretary of the Embassy of India

On May 3, 2018, rector of Ternopil State Medical University Professor Mykhaylo Korda met with Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of India Bharat Singh Bisht and director of Ukrainian State Center for International Education Olena Shapovalova.   Dr. Korda updated Bharat Singh Bisht on the activities and achievements of TSMU. Ternopil State Medical University expands its cooperation with Indian recruiting companies

Recently, rector of Ternopil State Medical University Professor Mykhaylo Korda held a meeting with the with director of the company DOCTORPLUS Educational Consultancy Amit Patel, representing the Right Choice company  (director Dr. Puneet Kumar). The discussion centered on expanding cooperation and recruitment of young people from India to come to study at TDMU. Dr. Korda supports the proposal to increase the number of students from the Indian state of Gujarat who wish to obtain higher medical education in Ternopil. TSMU students presented an Evening of Cultures to schoolchildren

On March 28, 2018, pupils from different cities of Ukraine gathered in Ivan Franko Ternopil Ukrainian Gymnasium to take part in a National Geography Olympiad. Students of the Ternopil State Medical University talked to the schoolchildren about their countries. To interest children and deepen their knowledge, the students prepared fascinating facts and creative performances. Ternopil State Medical University students celebrated Holi

Each year in early spring, India celebrates the colorful festival of Holi, which is associated with the awakening of nature, bright blossoms of flowers and youth. On March 18, 2018 the Ukrainian-Indian Friendship club Sanskriti presented the Indian tradition of celebrating Holi in Ternopil State Medical University library. The event’s program featured classical Indian dances performed by the students of the Indian dance school Amrita, performances by TSMU Indian students and sprinkling with colors. Ukrainian-Indian Conversation School began its work at TSMU

Week at TSMU Library. The main goal of this public initiative is to allow Ukrainian students and residents of Ternopil to learn Hindi directly from the speakers of this language, Indian students. Both Hindi and Ukrainian belong to the same group of languages, and stem from a common ancestral language, Proto-Indo-European. Even now, millennia after these daughter languages branched off, Ukrainian and Hindi have many words that sound alike. TSMU Students from India celebrated Holi, the festival of colors

Holi, or the festival of colors is a popular Hindu celebration in India. It is also celebrated in Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and other countries with the Indian diaspora. Ternopil State Medical University students from India organized a celebration for military personnel

Since previous year Ternopil  city library has been implementing a rehabilitation project for police and military personnel using book and art therapy. Project manager, librarian Nadia Kachurovska said that these events are aimed to contribute to socialization the military, and expand their social circle. TSMU Indian students talked about their country with a local TV channel

Last week students of Ternopil State Medical University took part in the program “Morning with TTB”. They talked about customs, culture and features of their country. Parth Sabya Sachi, Priyanka Tyagi, Pramvir Rathee and Varsha Kashyap shared with Ternopil audience their impressions of India, told how Indians celebrate their national holidays, and how the students keep their traditions while studying at Ternopil State Medical University.
