Joint Canadian-Ukrainian Course on Global Health took place in TSMU

On May 15-25, 2018 Ternopil State Medical University hosted a joint Canadian-Ukrainian course Global Health. This course was developed within the framework of cooperation between TSMU and MacEwan University (Edmonton, Canada). Course participants included 20 students of MacEwan University Faculty of Nursing, and 8 students of TSMU Faculty of Medicine. TSMU students took part in World Hospice & Palliative Care Week events

To mark World Hospice & Palliative Care Week, professors and students of TSMU Institute of Nursing together with employees of Ternopil Regional Hospice organized an event aiming to inform about the current state of palliative and hospice care. Joining the representatives of the League of Palliative and Hospice Assistance in Ternopil region, they set up an information tent next Ivan Franko monument, giving detailed explanations and consultations to Ternopil public. Colleagues from MacEwan University visited TSMU

For several years now TSMU maintained cooperation ties with Canadian MacEwan University, and within this framework a number of important projects have already been implemented. Visit of Saskatchewan Polytechnic students to TSMU

During three weeks of April 29 to May 21 a group of students from Saskatchewan Polytechnic School of Nursing: Briana Bourgeault, Aleah Sakowsky, Nicole Cotterill, Melissa Grenier, and professor Marilyn Schigol visited Ternopil State Medical University. Victor Hetmanchuk, Chairman of the Canada Ukraine Foundation (CUF) on February 24, 2017 met with rector of Ternopil State Medical University, Dr. Korda to develop areas of cooperation. Members of TSMU choir gave charity help to Ternopil hospice

During the Christmas holidays, Ternopil State Medical University choir kept busy schedule performing carols in various venues. Its members collected a considerable amount of donations, more than 20 thousand hryvnas. All of the money the choristers decided to direct to charity. Together, professors and students of Ternopil State Medical University decided to help medical facilities in most need.
