TSMU rector met with the leadership of international student associations

Rector of Ternopil State Medical University, Professor Mykhaylo Korda met with representatives of international community studying in our university. Such conversations are a good tradition, allowing all sides to talk about their concerns. Ternopil State Medical University continues cooperation with Ecuador

Rector of Ternopil State Medical University, Professor Mykhaylo Korda recently met with the president of the Fundacion EuroLatina (Ecuador) Maria Reyes and representative of the company in Ternopil Johanna Arguello. They discussed the ongoing cooperation to encourage students from Ecuador to come for study at TSMU.   Next year at least 30 students from Ecuador looking to get medical education will arrive to Ternopil. TDMU received a grant from Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine

Ternopil State Medical University researchers have won a grant announced by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine. They will implement the project Development of Early Approaches to Physical Rehabilitation in Patients with Complicated Upper and Lower Extremity Fractures. The project involves purchasing of PT equipment that will be used to train students at the Department of Physical Rehabilitation, Human Health and Physical Education, as well as to treat patients needing rehabilitation. On February 18-21, 2018, a city of Ternopil delegation, including rector of Ternopil State Medical University Professor Mykhaylo Korda, visited Elbląg, Poland. Winners were determined in TSMU Cultural Diversity Photo contest

About a month ago Ternopil State Medical University on its website launched first in a series of photo contests on the topic of student life. The Cultural Diversity contest was dedicated to Ukrainian traditions and university students studying them. During last year, TSMU worked closely with the Demkur Family Ethnography Gallery Heritage. New generation of medical students begins their training at TSMU

The excitement was palpable in Ternopil State Medical University on August 31, 2017 when the new cohort of medical students became matriculated. The student family welcomed 965 first-year students, as well as 122 young people who had transferred from medical colleges. Perhaps even more excited were international students. Over 80 first-year students have already been enrolled to TSMU. These young people come as far away as India, Pakistan, Poland, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Nigeria, and Egypt. Ternopil State Medical University received awards from the National Academy of Medical Sciences

Ternopil State Medical University was recently awarded the highest distinction of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine during the 60th anniversary celebrations. TSMU Dentistry Clinic opened its doors

University Hospital Dental Clinic located on 7 Chekhova opened its doors on April 5. This clinic will serve the residents of our city and region, providing services such as free dental diagnosis and patients consults by TSMU professors and other specialists in therapeutic, pediatric, orthopedic and surgical dentistry. Rector’s Cup is presented to the winners of basketball tournament

Ternopil State Medical University supports athletics and encourages participation of students in sports competitions. On 14-16 March 2017, TSMU athletic complex hosted a basketball tournament for the Rector’s Cup, and dedicated  to the 60th anniversary of the University. A traditional meeting of Ternopil State Medical University rector Professor Mykhaylo Korda with the student body took place on March 13, 2017. This was the day of TSMU student conference, when the doctors in training gathered to review the report of Student Council Audit Committee and approve its budget for next year. On February 23, 2017 Children’ Diabetes School Opened in Ternopil Regional Children’s Hospital. This is a joint project of the hospital and Ternopil State Medical University. On 9 February 2017, Renata Blecha, President of the Center for Child Support (Fundacja pomocu dzeciam) in Żywiec, Poland met with rector of Ternopil State Medical University, Professor Mykhaylo Korda to discuss areas of cooperation. Center for Child Support is one of the largest and best-equipped facilities in Poland and Europe. It employs over 80 experienced professionals (speech therapists, developmental-delay therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitators, psychologists, etc.) that assist 300 children with special needs.
