Ternopil State Medical University scholars took part in seminar on kidney health of children with spina bifida

Head of TSMU Department of Children’s Diseases and Pediatric Surgery, Professor Oksana Boyarchuk and assistant professor Kateryna Hlushko took part in an informational day on kidney health and treatment of children with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. TSMU Department of Children’s Diseases organized a Day of Primary Immunodeficiency event

Members of the NGO Rare Immune Diseases and professors of TSMU Department of Children’s Diseases and Pediatric Surgery organized a meeting of Ternopil region patients with primary immunodeficiencies (PID) and their parents. The event was dedicated to the Day of Primary Immunodeficiency, which is observed on 14 March. Participating in the meeting were also doctors and student volunteers. Ternopil State Medical University scientist participated in the 2017 meeting of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies

Head of TSMU Department of Children’s Diseases and Pediatric Surgery Professor Oksana Boyarchuk took part in the 2017 meeting of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID). The conference, which had the theme of Autoimmunity & Inflammation in PID; Beyond the Paradox took place on September 11-14, 2017 in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Dr. Boyarchuk’s participation in the conference was made possible through funding from the Jeffrey Modell Foundation. For the second consecutive year TSMU joins the world-wide activities to observe World Primary Immunodeficiency Week. Ternopil State Medical University professor gave lectures to students of Wroclaw Medical University

Head of Ternopil State Medical University department of childhood diseases and pediatric surgery professor Oksana Boyarchuk on 19-25 March 2017 visited Wroclaw Medical University as a part of academic exchange program ERASMUS + Staff Mobility for Teaching. The visit took place at the Department and Hospital of Clinical Immunology and Pediatrics and in Hospital Pediatrics and Infectious diseases. These units are located in the Jerzego Gromkowskiego Provincial Hospital, which is one of the most modern hospitals in Poland’s Lower Silesia. Ternopil State Medical University researchers won a grant for a project on primary immune deficiencies

On 28 October, 2016 the convocations hall of Ternopil State Medical University was a site of scientific conference Medical and Social Problems in Childhood, organized by the faculty and staff of the Departments of Pediatrics and Childhood Diseases and Pediatric surgery of the Medical Faculty. On October 6-7 Ternopil State Medical University held national conference “Potential for developing medical and physical rehabilitation at different levels of care”.   Vice-rector for research, academic and clinical affairs, Professor Stepan Zaporozhan greeted the participants on behalf of Ternopil State Medical University rector, Professor Mykhaylo Korda, and wished those present successful and fruitful work during the meeting.
