Students of Ternopil State Medical University worked at regional hospice

For two and a half months, students Ternopil State Medical University had been carrying out a volunteering mission in Ternopil Regional Hospice.  Oksana Kushneryk, third-year student of the Faculty of medicine served as a coordinator of this long-term charitable project. In the hospice, the doctors-in-training assisted its medical staff in caring for patients. They fed the patients, talked to and the elderly, looked after them, and overall tried to get involved in all hospice procedures. TSMU students took part in World Hospice & Palliative Care Week events

To mark World Hospice & Palliative Care Week, professors and students of TSMU Institute of Nursing together with employees of Ternopil Regional Hospice organized an event aiming to inform about the current state of palliative and hospice care. Joining the representatives of the League of Palliative and Hospice Assistance in Ternopil region, they set up an information tent next Ivan Franko monument, giving detailed explanations and consultations to Ternopil public. President of the National Federation of Water Motor Sports thanked TSMU students

Victor Shemchuk, President of the National Federation of Water Motor Sports of Ukraine in his letter addressed to Ternopil State Medical University, thanked TSMU students for their participation and volunteer work during the European Championship of Water and Motor Sport . TSMU Students brought fun activities to children’s summer camp

International students of Ternopil State Medical University visited the Rainbow children’s summer camp. The camp invites children whose parents serve in the ATO area and it has been organized for the second year in a row, by the Ternopil Center for Psychological Rehabilitation “Step Toward”. In the camp, children can take part in various master classes, go on trips, and meet interesting people. University-wide volunteer movement Misericordia collected care package items for the troops

Charity work in Ternopil State Medical University has deep roots. Members of a local history group Terpoliany, Ukrainian and international students alike, have been taking part in charitable activities for quite some time. Recently leader of the group, associate professor Taras Kadobnyi with support of TSMU administration and deans organized a university-wide volunteer movement Misericordia. Ternopil State Medical University students organized a number of activities for the World Day of Immunity

First day of March is recognized as the World Day of Immunity. The reason this particular date was chosen is because early spring is known for exacerbating problems associated with weakened immune system. Ternopil State Medical University students became St. Nicholas’s helpers

For several years now Ternopil State Medical University students have been helping families in need on St. Nicholas’ day. Each year students Ternopil State Medical University are actively involved in actions and events to observe the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This time it was fifth-year students from the Faculty of Medicine  who shared  their  warmth with kids with disabilities. Ternopil State Medical University faculty and students organized a charity event for children without parental care

Faculty and students of Ternopil State Medical University regularly carry out charitable projects and participate in volunteer activities. Recently, medical interns and their mentors from Faculty of Dentistry of the institute of postgraduate education helped children without parental care. For three days, members of the Department had been taking care of oral health of more than ten young patients from Ternopil Regional Home for Schoolchildren. Each pupil received quality dental care. TSMU students continue their volunteer work

At the start of the new academic year students of Ternopil State Medical University did not waste time taking up charitable and volunteer projects they initiated. Recently, a group of students started regular shifts making pierogi for the military personnel in the ATO zone.
