Therapeutic and preventive work is the main area of focus of the university. A significant teaching and academic staff take account of 69 professors (19,5 %), 213 associate professors (60,4%) and 71 assistant professors (20,1%) that together with the staff of the university clinics significantly improve the qualitative and quantitative indicators of medical and preventive work of the city and the region.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Clinical Departments of Ternopil National Medical University are found in 25 regional and city medical and preventive facilities, as well as in Rivne and Zhytomyr. Most of the clinical medical facilities are specialized centres that provide tertiary health care to the population. These centres are: regional and city departments of gastroenterology, cardiology; regional department of endocrinology; regional centre for clinical immunology and allergology; regional departments of thoracic surgery, vascular diseases, neurosurgery; department of minimal invasive surgery; regional centre of ophthalmic microsurgery; regional department of otolaryngology; regional clinic of neurology and psychiatry; regional oncology clinic; regional TB dispensary; regional centre of gastroenterology and hepatology.<\/span><\/p>\n

The total number of beds is 5195 in all medical facilities. There are 36 clinical departments in specialties Medicine, Dentistry and Clinical Pharmacy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Departments operate on the basis of the communal non-commercial enterprise “Ternopil Regional Clinical Hospital”<\/b><\/p>\n
