On April 15-19, 2024, Associate Professor of TNMU Department of Emergency Medical Care Sofiya Lypovetska took part in the academic mobility project \u201cErasmus+ International Credit Mobility\u201d in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This internship was held at the University Clinic Hospital Cl\u00ednico Universitario de Santiago in the departments of intensive care, interventional arrhythmology and cardiology and cardiorehabilitation under the supervision of Professor Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Gonz\u00e1lez Juanate<\/a>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practical work in this clinic is closely intertwined with scientific research. In particular, the cardiovascular research group \u201cSingular Centre for Research in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases\u201d (CiMUS) was recognized as the best group by the Consortium of Biomedical Research in Cardiovascular Diseases (CIBERCV) of Spain for the second year in a row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collaborative cardiology research platform brings together researchers from the CIBERCV of the Carlos III Health Institute, the US Center for Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases (CiMUS) and the Santiago Health Research Institute (IDIS). The Cardio CHUS group consists of more than 60 clinical and experimental researchers who are engaged in the search for new health care models, the implementation of artificial intelligence systems to assist in clinical decision-making, clinical research, identification of mechanisms, molecular aspects of disease, the role of genetics in the diagnostic and therapeutic process or problems of cardio-oncology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the Cardio CHUS team is actively involved in the development of clinical trials and coordinates multicentre studies consisting of national and international research groups. They have been repeatedly recognized with the \u201cBIC\u201d award for the best services and quality of care for patients with cardiovascular diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report \u201cHealthcare at war: the impact of Russia\u2019s full scale invasion on healthcare in Ukraine\u201d was presented to the cardiologists, residents and researchers of the \u201cCIMUS\u201d group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
