On April 11-12, 2024, the 19th RECOOP HST Association annual conference \u201cBridges in Life\u201d was held in Bratislava (Slovakia).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the event gathered more than 120 participants from Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine and the USA. I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University was presented by the Rector, Professor Mykhaylo Korda, the Head of Project Management Department, Professor Oksana Shevchuk, the Director of the Institute of Nursing, Associate Professor Svitlana Danchak, the head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, Professor Alla Boychuk, Associate Professors of the Department of Paediatrics No. 2 Kateryna Kozak and the Department of Therapy and Family Medicine of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education Oksana Kotsiuba.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The young generation of TNMU researchers was represented by post-graduate students Svitlana Palii and Viktoria Ivankiv, as well as medical students Tetiana Podilska, Valeria Blahuliak, Sofia Berehuliak and Anna-Maria Koval.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference program was rich and intense thanks to the coordinated work of the participants and the organization of all processes by Dr. Sandor G. Vari who is the president of RECOOP HST Association, a person who, thanks to his vision and constant tireless work, created first a consortium, and then the association itself, and thanks to the support of Cedars Sinai Medical Center (USA), managed to bring together scientists from different parts of Europe and the USA. Dr. Vari is an active supporter of Ukraine and a philanthropist who constantly supports Ukrainian scientists.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the conference, a number of reports and posters were presented based on research conducted at the laboratory and clinical facilities of our university. The topics of the presentations were related to COVID-19, post-covid syndrome and its manifestations, genetic aspects and relationships in adults, pregnant women and children, and also intertwined with current issues and examinations of the military for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Professor Alla Boychuk reported on the results of research on coagulation disorders in pregnant women after suffering from COVID-19 at the section \u201cReproductive and Child\/Young Adult Health\u201d. In the \u201cMetabolic Disorders\u201d section, Professor Oksana Shevchuk reported on the results of the study of adipogenesis in post-COVID-19. Associate Professor Kateryna Kozak reported on genetic studies and relations to COVID-19 in paediatric patients in the \u201cInfections and Immunology & Translational Medical\u201d section, and Associate Professor Oksana Kotsiuba spoke about these aspects in adults in the section dedicated to \u201cCardiovascular Diseases\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entire section was devoted to post-traumatic stress disorder in the military, as well as important aspects of the work of medical personnel, particularly nurses, in the current conditions, which was explained by Associate Professor Svitlana Danchak.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 9th RECOOP Sciences and Arts Competition 2024 was held within the XIX RECOOPH ST Conference Bridges in Life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
