On March 8, 2024, students of TNMU Faculty of Medicine Olena Iskra (MM-416) and Diana Malyshevska (MM-416) gave lectures on topics \u201cAll about Electronic Cigarettes and Energy Drinks\u201d for the 5th- and 11th-grade students and the lecture on topic \u201cAdolescent in Health Care System\u201d for the 5th-grade students of Ternopil Academic Lyceum \u201cIvan Franko Ukrainian Gymnasium\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of the event \u201cAll about Electronic Cigarettes and Energy Drinks\u201d was to tell children and teenagers about what an electronic cigarette and energy drinks are, what substances they contain, why a person develops addiction and how it happens, what harm electronic cigarettes and energy drinks bring. TNMU students also presented the research, the purpose of which was to convince children of the harmfulness of these things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the lectures, the children listened attentively and asked questions from time to time. The most relevant questions remain the following: \u201cWhat is more harmful \u2013 an electronic cigarette or an energy drink?\u201d, \u201cDoes energy drink harm a child and an adult?\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The children had a lot of questions, and already after the lecture, the children made their own conclusions about the harm of electronic cigarettes and energy drinks. The relevance of the topic does not diminish, and therefore, the importance of telling children about the harm of such products remains extremely high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of the event \u201cAdolescent in Health Care System\u201d was to tell students whether they can go to a doctor on their own, from what age teenagers can do it and how, as well as to briefly talk about the different specialties of doctors and emphasize their responsibilities as patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the lecture \u201cAdolescent in Health Care System\u201d, the children were interested in various specialties of doctors, the names of which they had heard, but did not really understand their meaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
