On March 6, 2024, a concert of songs by Volodymyr Ivasyuk was held in the assembly hall of Ternopil National Medical University, which was presented to the audience by members of the university choir under the direction of Taras Bidovanets.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volodymyr Ivasyuk would have turned 75 on March 4. And there would be awards, congratulations, thanks and wishes. But, unfortunately, he was destined to remain in his thirties\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oles Honchar once called Vasyl Symonenko \u201ca young master of Ukrainian poetry\u201d. Volodymyr Ivasyuk can rightly be called a young master of Ukrainian pop music. The composer\u2019s work includes more than 100 songs, 53 instrumental works, music for several performances.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volodymyr Ivasyuk\u2019s songs have long since become an organic and integral part of Ukrainian national culture. Tender and romantic, full of youthful vigour, deep love for the native land, they still inspire, charge with positive energy, ignite, warm and unite.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Volodymyr Ivasyuk\u2019s songs performed by our choir created an amazing atmosphere of spiritual unity, soul harmony, integrity of aesthetic perception in the hall. Students and teachers, representatives of different generations, reacted equally when listening to works that are already classics of Ukrainian musical culture. \u201cChervona ruta\u201d, \u201cDva persteni\u201d, \u201cYa pidu v daleki hory\u201d, \u201cYa \u2013 tvoie krylo\u201d, \u201cTilky raz tsvite liubov\u201d, \u201cBalada pro malvy\u201d touched everyone\u2019s heart to fill it with faith, hope and love.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, as the presenter noted at the end, Ivasyuk\u2019s \u201cSong will be between us\u201d (\u201cPisnia bude pomizh nas\u201d), forever \u201cAutumn will walk in the Carpathians\u201d (\u201cU Karpatakh khodytyme osin\u201d) and will light the way for us with \u201cYellow Leaf\u201d (\u201cZhovtyi Lyst\u201d). We will hold \u201cTwo rings\u201d (\u201cDva persteni\u201d) in our hand for a long time to give one \u201cGoldilocks\u201d (\u201cZolotovoloska\u201d), we will believe that \u201cLove blooms only once\u201d (\u201cLiubov tsvite odyn-yedynyi raz\u201d), we will mentally stand by \u201cWaterfall\u201d (\u201cVodohrai\u201d) or will go \u201c\u2026 To distant mountains\u201d (\u201c\u2026 V daleki hory\u201d) to find \u201cChervona Ruta\u201d (\u201cRed Rue\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We express our deepest appreciation to all the participants of the university choir and artistic director Taras Bidovanets for the pleasant moments of meeting with the poetic words and melodies of Volodymyr Ivasyuk, and we wish you new creative accomplishments!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
