On February 27, 2024, 11th-grade students of Ternopil Academic Lyceum \u201cIvan Franko Ukrainian Gymnasium\u201d had a chance to attend classes together with the students of TNMU, thus learning about the specialties. Lyceum students were accompanied by the director of the Lyceum Mykola Fedoruts, deputy directors for educational work \u2013 Larysa Tomashevska and Ludmyla Bilchuk, as well as class teachers Aliona Ivashchuk, Halyna Sopivnyk, Oksana Mykhailova, Halyna Kozbur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning, the guests were addressed by the Rector of TNMU Mykhaylo Korda who spoke about the achievements of the university, its material and technical facilities, the opportunities that students of Ternopil Medical University have in learning, realizing their creative and scientific potential, and sports abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ihor Drach, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, told about the peculiarities of the admissions campaign in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During one day, Ternopil lyceum students attended a class on \u201cPhysiology of leukocytes\u201d organized by Professor Stepan Vadziuk, a class on \u201cBiomechanics of the respiratory act\u201d by Associate Professor Ihor Papinko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Medical Biology offered an introductory class (teacher Iryna Pryvrotska). Olena Ruzhytska made a tour for schoolchildren. The class of teacher Ihor Medvid on \u201cMorphology and Physiology of Microorganisms\u201d was interesting, he prepared a presentation, talked about the morphology and physiology of microorganisms, about the microscope and its use for studying various morphological forms, demonstrated painted preparations, told about the laboratory, methods of sterilization in medicine, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a practical session on surgery, the teachers of the Department of Operative Surgery and Clinical Anatomy, led by its Head Professor Mykhailo Hnatiuk, gave young people the opportunity to get to know the specifics of surgical interventions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Head of the Department of Pathological Anatomy, Professor Petro Selskyi and the teacher of the Department Volodymyr Voloshyn made a tour of the museum of the department, talked about the academic discipline and other things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representatives of the Department of Human Anatomy \u2013 Associate Professors Borys Reminetskyi, Svitlana Yavorska, Oleksandra Halytska-Kharkhalis, Senior Lecturer Taras Stravskyi, Assistant Professors Iryna Kit and Olha Herman invited the guests of TNMU to join their classes with students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The educational tour was organized by the Assistant Professor of the Department of Histology and Embryology Natalia Ohinska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vice-Head of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry, Associate Professor Nadia Manashchuk told the students about the peculiarities of the dentist\u2019s profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lyceum students were accompanied to all locations of TNMU by mentors of our university, in particular A. Shkrobot (MM-407), H. Lybavka (SS-314), R. Chvankina (MM-407), A. Charodii (FF-203), N. Monchak (MM-226), D. Teriak (MM-586), O. Shapovalova (MM-607), Kh. Bilozetska. (MM-607), N. Humeniuk (MT-301), O. Shuprudko (FF-303).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
