I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University has once again been ranked first among the Ukraine\u2019s top medical universities in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities which is a prestigious international ranking system (https:\/\/webometrics.info\/en\/Europe\/Ukraine%20)! This recognition emphasizes TNMU\u2019s aspiration to high standards of academic professionalism and quality and affirms the university\u2019s role as a leader in the field of medical education and science of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Webometrics ranking has been compiled since 2004 with the aim of analysing the scientific potential of universities, their openness and readiness to exchange scientific and cultural achievements, and the academic presence of higher education institutions in the Internet space. When determining the position in the rating, the following indicators are taken into account:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Excellence (40%) \u2013 the number of articles by university scholars among the first 10% of the most cited in each of the 27 disciplines of the complete database;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Openness (10%) \u2013 the number of citations in Google Scholar from the most cited 310 authors (excluding 20 top scientists);<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Impact (50%) \u2013 the number of external networks linking to the institution\u2019s web pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The developer of the Webometrics rating is the Spanish National Research Council, which uses a scientifically based model to evaluate all aspects of higher education institutions\u2019 activities \u2013 scientific, educational, cultural, social, sports, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The success of TNMU in the rating reflects the efforts of the entire academic community, teachers and students to improve the quality of education, develop innovative programs and achieve high scientific results. The first place in the ranking is a confirmation of the university\u2019s commitment to provide excellent education and educate future leaders in all fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
