On November 22 \u2013 26, 2023, the international course of the Baltic University program for postgraduate students titled 10th BUP PhD Students Training was held in the city of Lodz (Poland). 23 postgraduate students from participating universities of the Baltic University Program (BUP) from 10 different countries participated in the training. Ternopil National Medical University was represented by Svitlana Palii, who was the only participant from Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the course, Svitlana had the opportunity to meet and discuss scientific problems and research projects with an emphasis on sustainable development in an interdisciplinary, international, multicultural and regional context. During her studies, she gained valuable knowledge about writing a research paper, preparing scientific presentations and posters, and how to properly communicate with the media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Svitlana successfully presented the results on the topic of her dissertation \u201cMolecular mechanisms of endothelial dysfunction under the conditions of action of ACE inhibitors and beta-blockers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduate students took part in the \u201cDesign thinking\u201d workshop, and each of the participants had individual consultations on the thesis with invited experts. In the case of Svitlana, a meeting was organized with Professor Edyta Gendaszewska-Darmach, during which they discussed important aspects of writing a dissertation, exchanged ideas for projects and opportunities for future cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Svitlana Palii: \u201cWhile in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a, I met postgraduate students and professors who became my friends during my studies. These are extremely open, sincere, friendly people who are ready to share their experience and cooperate. This conference was very valuable for me because it gave me the opportunity to see what scientists are working on, which areas are most in demand in the world, and to understand in which direction to move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the administration of Ternopil National Medical University and my supervisor Professor Oksana Shevchuk for their support and assistance in preparing the report, as well as the Baltic University (BUP) for giving me the opportunity to study, develop and share my experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
