Students Learned about the Tragic History of Their Motherland"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">On the eve of the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor genocide, first-year students of the Faculty of Dentistry (group SS-106) and Faculty of Medicine (group MM-117), together with tutors (Professor Tetiana Khvalyboha and teacher Nataliia Hantimurova) visited one of the largest historical and memorial museums in Ukraine \u2013 the Museum of Political Prisoners in the city of Ternopil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-full eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image001-10.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68740\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Since the museum is located on the territory of a former detention centre, students had the opportunity to visit each of the 28 cells and be transported to the terrible events of that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-full eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image003-12.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68741\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-full eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image005-10.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68742\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">A model of the concentration camp, a death chamber, real clothes and household items reproduced in detail further enhanced the visitors\u2019 perception of the life of political prisoners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-full eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image007-14.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68743\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-full eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image009-8.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68744\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-full eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image011-9.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68745\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Most of all the students liked the collection of nine hides (kryiivkas), which the museum is particularly proud of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-full eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1200\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image013-7.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68747\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-full eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image015-7.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68748\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">In one of the cells, there is a memorial room of the hero of Ukraine Stepan Bandera, which is presented with unique exhibits \u2013 a copy of Stepan Bandera\u2019s death mask, photos of the funeral and his personal office, as well as housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-full eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image017-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68749\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-full eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image019-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68750\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">At the end of the excursion, students and tutors visited the exposition dedicated to the Holodomor of 1932-1933, viewed documents and photographs confirming the atrocities of the Russian authorities, the main goal of which was the genocide of the Ukrainian people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped eplus-wrapper wp-block-gallery-1\">\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image
