On May 8-12, 2023, Associate Professor of TNMU Department of Medical Physics of Diagnostic and Medical Equipment Oksana Bahrii-Zaiats and Associate Professor of TNMU Department of Human Anatomy Oleksandra Halytska-Kharkhalis visited the Academy of Applied Medical and Social Sciences (Elbl\u0105g, Poland, https:\/\/amisns.edu.pl\/homepage\/uczelnia\/misja-i-cele\/) at the invitation of the Rector, Prof. Magdalena Dubella-Polakowska. A bilateral cooperation agreement was signed between the universities for the purpose of exchange of experience in the field of education, implementation of the academic exchange program, implementation of research projects, seminars, conferences, symposiums, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the visit, a meeting was held with the administration and staff of the university, in particular with Ms. Chancellor Zhaneta Yakimovska, Director of the Centre for Postgraduate Education and International Cooperation Iga Lipska and Specialist of the Department of International Relations and Coordinator of the Erasmus+ program Ms. Olga Reva. Forms of organization of the educational process and scientific directions for further cooperation between our educational institutions were discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exchange of experience in teaching medical disciplines, informing the participants of the educational process about the results of state-of-the-art scientific research and the latest technologies will contribute to the improvement of the quality of educational activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, TNMU teachers were shown the material and technical, scientific facilities and educational process of the Academy of Applied Medical and Social Sciences, the work of the Centre for Medical Teaching and Simulation, which contributes to the creation of appropriate technical and educational and methodological conditions for high-quality education and control of students\u2019 knowledge as full-time and extramural forms of education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TNMU teachers had the opportunity to learn about the methods of conducting practical exams at the Academy by attending a short practical colloquium on human anatomy, which allowed them to check how students demonstrate their knowledge and skills using anatomical models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Visiting professor program was launched with the aim of giving lectures to students of foreign universities by TNMU teachers, who are fluent in English. Within the framework of cooperation on the implementation of the program of academic exchanges of teachers and the development of academic mobility, lectures were given in English for the 1st-year students of the Faculty of Medicine on the subjects \u201cBiological physics\u201d on the topic \u201cMedical equipment based on ionizing radiation principle\u201d and \u201cHuman anatomy\u201d on the topic \u201cAnatomy of cranial nerves\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the professor of the Department of Physics and Biophysics of the Medical University of Gda\u0144sk, Michal Penkowski, who teaches the Biophysics course for students of the Faculty of Medicine.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a lecture on human anatomy<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the visit to the city of Elbl\u0105g, a working meeting was held with the deputy president of the town of Elbl\u0105g, Janusz Novak. Further areas of cooperation between the twin cities were discussed within the framework of the \u201cAgreement on cooperation between the cities of Elbl\u0105g and Ternopil\u201d, signed in the city of Elbl\u0105g on June 27, 1992, which are aimed at improving the system of exchange of best management practices between the cities, the development of humanitarian and investment relations, promoting popularization of tourism, as well as to represent the traditions and culture of cities abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was also possible to get acquainted with the architecture of the city of Elbl\u0105g in detail, learn more about the region, visit the Church of St. Nicholas, climb to the observation deck of the Trade Gate, which offers an incredible view of the city, touch the history of Elbl\u0105g by viewing the exhibits of the Archaeological and Historical Museum, located on the territory of the former castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the visit, TNMU delegation visited the city of Gdansk and its architectural monuments: the Golden Gate, the Neptune Fountain, the Green Gate, the Old Crane and the Basilica of St. Mary. And also had the opportunity to visit the city of Sopot on the coast of the Baltic Sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the basis of the results of the visit, the parties exchanged the experience in the organization of the educational process and discussed the participation in scientific projects as the consortium members.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
