On May 14, 2022, the second online training \u201cPharmacy Store: from Bench to Bedside\u201d was organized by TNMU teachers with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and SAFEMed \u201cSafe, affordable and effective medicines for Ukrainians\u201d and with the assistance of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of russia\u2019s full-scale war, many pharmacies have been left without workers, forced to save their lives and abandon their homes and jobs due to active hostilities and the threat of missile strikes. According to the Order of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine as of 08.03.2022 \u2116 429 \u201cOn engaging students of higher, professional pre-higher education, persons of some other categories to work in pharmaceutical (pharmacy) institutions, other health care institutions for the period of martial law\u201d, to temporarily replenish the positions of pharmaceutical workers medical students and interns can be employed as assistant pharmacists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is another way to bring our victory closer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Oleksandra Oleshchuk, Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology, Oksana Shevchuk, Professor of this department, Professor Olena Samohalska, Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Olena Pokotylo, Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmacy Management, Economics and Technology joined the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is pleasing to know that this topic turned out to be extremely relevant: 141 people registered for the first training, while 537 registered for the second one, and a total of 678 people took part in the trainings, with almost half of them being fourth-year students of Ukrainian medical institutions and almost 16% \u2013 medical interns. This shows a high level of interest and demand for such training and practical programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
