On November 25-26, 2021, the International Research and Training Conference\u00a0\u201cNew Generation of Nurses: Achievements and Innovations in Nursing\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0was held at\u00a0I.\u00a0Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The conference was organized by the Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care and Clinical Immunology and the Centre for Nursing Development of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Higher Innovative School \u201cCollegium of Mazovia\u201d (Siedlce, Poland), Ukrainian Centre for Resources and Development of McEwan University (Edmonton, Canada) and the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada). The event joined more than 450 scientists from around the world.<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Ivan Klishch<\/strong>, the Vice-Rector for Research, opened the symposium. He congratulated the participants on behalf of Professor\u00a0Mykhaylo Korda<\/strong>, the Rector of TNMU, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Honoured Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, and emphasized the need for improvement of Ukraine\u2019s nursing education.<\/p>\n

Eva Chechelevska<\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Collegium of Mazovia (Siedlce, Poland), greeted the conference participants and presented the report on \u201cEducation and formation of the nursing profession in Poland\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Tetiana Nikolaienko-Kamyshova<\/strong>, Associate Professor of the Department of Family Medicine, Dnipropetrovsk State Medical University (Dnipro, Ukraine), expanded on the urgent issues of nursing in the structure of the contemporary health care system, motivation and optimization of approaches to their solution.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Yulia Danylevych<\/strong>, Associate Professor of the Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care and Clinical Immunology, I.\u00a0Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, presented to the conference participants a very interesting report on \u201cMethods of effective communication with patients in need of long-term care in nursing\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Anna Bednarchyk<\/strong>, Head of the Simulation Training Department, Collegium of Mazovia (Siedlce, Poland), expanded on the problems and innovations in practical training of nurses.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The report by\u00a0Beata Boratyn<\/strong>, an instructor at the Bronislaw Markiewicz State Higher School of Technology and Economics (Yaroslavl, Poland), was an urgent issue and informative.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Antonina Mozharivska<\/strong>, Head of the Training Center of Zhytomyr Medical Institute, presented to the symposium participants the report on \u201cInnovative technologies for training nurses at the present time\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Natalia Rudakova<\/strong>, a lecturer of the Department of Mental and Physical Health at A. Krupinskyi Lviv Medical Academy, presented a report on \u201cTraining of Nurses in Rehabilitation for a Multidisciplinary Team\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Katarzyna Wi\u015bniewska<\/strong>, a lecturer of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Radom School of Higher Education (Radom, Poland), expanded on the experience of patients in Poland, the values and problems of patient-centred care as a new trend in assessing health care quality in Poland.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Iryna Hrinchenko<\/strong>, Head of the Nursing Department of Kherson Basic Medical Professional College, presented a report \u201cThe Role of a Nurse in Teaching a Cancer Patient to Self-Care for a Stoma (Colonostomy)\u201d during the plenary session.<\/p>\n

The report by Professor\u00a0Svitlana Yastremska<\/strong>, the Director of the Institute of Nursing of I.\u00a0Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, on \u201cImportance of research to identify and solve major problems in nursing\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Kateryna Balabanova<\/strong>, Director of the Centre for Nursing Development of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, presented the report on \u201cCurrent State and Prospects of Nursing Development in Ukraine\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The report by\u00a0Elizabeth Burgess-Pinto<\/strong>, Head of International Health Research, Associate Professor of the Department of Healthcare Systems and Sustainable Development, McEwan University School of Nursing (Edmonton, Canada), on \u00a0\u201cTeaching Diversity in Nursing\u201d was very interesting to the audience.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Olenka Bilash<\/strong>, Professor of the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada), presented to the participants a report on \u201cReducing HIV Stigma Among Youth in Uganda\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The report \u201cInterdisciplinary integration as a goal and tool in professional training in obstetrics and gynaecology for students of medical colleges\u201d, presented by\u00a0Oksana Bahatkina<\/strong>, Head of the Cycle Commission of Professionally-Oriented Disciplines of Surgery and Obstetrics Profile of Kirovohrad Ye. Mukhin Professional Medical College was really interesting for the audience.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Christy Raymond<\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Professor of Health Systems and Sustainable Development at McEwan University (Edmonton, Canada), expanded on development of nursing education through the understanding of how we develop together.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Raj Narnaver<\/strong>, Associate Professor of the Department of Healthcare \u00a0and Science at McEwen University School of Nursing (Edmonton, Canada), drew the attention of the forum participance to the issue of \u201cIntervention Strategies for Improvement of Preservation of Anatomical Knowledge in Nursing Students\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Liubov Bilyk<\/strong>, Vice-Rector for Science, Education and Postgraduate Education, Head of the Department of Paramedic Training at Cherkasy Medical Academy, expanded on the latest approaches to training of nurses for bachelor\u2019s degree.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

At the end of the International Research and Training Conference \u201cNew Generation of Nurses: Achievements and Innovations in Nursing\u201d Professor\u00a0Svitlana Yastremska\u00a0<\/strong>summed up the work, thanked the university management, all speakers and participants of the scientific forum for participation in it.<\/p>\n

The format of the videoconference allowed the participants not only verbal presentation of their scientific achievements, but also it was a platform for scientific discussion, joint watching and fruitful discussion of videos and presentations.<\/p>\n
