The industrial boom of the 1990s, known as the Iron Fever, made Kryvyi Rih one of the leaders in the mining industry of the Russian Empire. Since 1955, new mines had been put into operation, and metallurgical plants had been built. Kryvyi Rih developed and was increasingly becoming an industrial centre with an advanced infrastructure (the world\u2019s largest mining and metallurgical plant: Arcelor Mitall, Zhovtneva mine, coke plant).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image004.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-53454\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image004-300x131.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"131\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image004-300x131.png 300w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image004.png 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image005-11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-53455\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image005-11-300x129.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"129\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image005-11-300x129.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image005-11-1024x439.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image005-11-768x329.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image005-11-624x267.jpg 624w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image005-11.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The student also presented architectural monuments, i.e. the largest flower clock in Europe, the largest flag on the highest flagpole, the botanical garden, the Modra rocks, the boat station, the music fountain, the Eagle\u2019s Nest rocks.<\/p>\n<p>According to the rating of the Correspondent magazine, 2010, based on the data of the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine on the degree of how many hazardous substances are emitted into the atmosphere by enterprises and transport of Ukrainian cities, Kryvyi Rih is recognized as the most polluted city in Ukraine. 634 kg of harmful substances are released into the atmosphere per each resident of Kryvyi Rih.<\/p>\n<p>Anhelina noted that in 2019 compare to 2015, the concentration of dust decreased in 2 times (from 0.8 mg\/m<sup>3<\/sup>\u00a0to 0.4 mg\/m<sup>3<\/sup>), in the first half of 2020, the content in the air was 0.35 mg\/m<sup>3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image007-9.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-53456\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image007-9-300x129.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"129\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image007-9-300x129.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image007-9-1024x441.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image007-9-768x331.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image007-9-624x269.jpg 624w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image007-9.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The video facts presented by\u00a0<strong>Skrekoten Davyd<\/strong>, the student of group 270, on \u201cAlphabet of Kryvyi Rih, a city of life\u201d about the cultural heritage of the city was really interesting for the audience. The student noted that the city of Kryvyi Rih was the largest city in Ukraine, although not a regional centre. Kryvyi Rih is the land of ore and metal. The Department of Ecology of the Executive Committee of the City Council controls the most acute environmental issues, which are important in improving the air, water environment, and prevention of land pollution by waste.
