On November 9, Ukrainians around the world celebrate an important holiday \u2013 the Day of Ukrainian Literature and Writing.<\/p>\n

The teachers and medical students of TNMU joined the Nationwide event on the Day of Ukrainian Literature and Writing on November 9, 2021 and wrote a radio dictation guided and supported by Professor Vadziuk S.N, the Head of the Department of Physiology, Bioethics and Biosafety. It is gratifying that all students gladly took part in the event, and the teachers supported this important initiative by their example.<\/p>\n

This holiday was initiated in 1997, when the President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma supported the initiative of public organizations and taking into account the important role of the Ukrainian language in the consolidation of Ukrainian society issued Decree No. 1241\/97 \u201cOn the Day of Ukrainian Literature and Writing\u201d.<\/p>\n

The date of the Day of the Ukrainian Language and Writing coinsides with the Orthodox holiday \u2013 the Day of honouring the Reverend Nestor the Chronicler \u2013 a follower of the creators of Slavic writing Cyril and Methodius. After all, researchers believe that that the written Ukrainian language begins from his work.<\/p>\n

For centuries, the Ukrainian language, as well as its native speakers: the Ukrainian people, has been subjected to significant oppression and prohibition by various states.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the Ukrainian language is flourishing every year: native speakers are becoming more and more popular, young people are increasingly promoting Ukrainian on social networks and encouraging their use in speech. And today more than 45 million people speak Ukrainian.<\/p>\n

It is gratifying that the future of Ukraine is in the hands of highly educated, cultured youth. Because this youth is the future of our state, and that is why today a clear strategy must be worked out to educate the young generation and develop its worldview. After all, Ukraine is a very nice country that must be highly developed and deserves a decent future.<\/p>\n
