On October 7-9, 2021,\u00a0the 9th<\/sup>\u00a0Scientific Symposium \u201cImmunopathology in Respiratory and Digestive Diseases. International Pulmonology School\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>was held at I.\u00a0Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.<\/p>\n

The symposium was organized by the Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care and Clinical Immunology and the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine and Phthisiology of I.\u00a0Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University and supported by Wroclaw Medical University, Poland.<\/p>\n

The Vice-Rector for Research, Professor\u00a0Ivan Klishch<\/strong>, welcomed the conference participants with. He congratulated everyone on behalf of Professor\u00a0Mykhailo Korda<\/strong>, the Rector of\u00a0TNMU<\/strong>, and wished success and fruitful work to the participants of the scientific meeting.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are pleased to welcome you in our university at the traditional scientific symposium. Vaccination against COVID-19 helped us to change the online format of the meetings and training and allowed moving to usual academic regime\u201d, said Ivan Mykolaiovych.<\/p>\n

Ihor Yaroslavovich presented a report on \u201cBiological therapy in the treatment of patients with inflammatory bowel disease and extraintestinal lesions\u201d.<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Leonid Hryshchuk<\/strong>, the Head of the Phthisiology Course of I.\u00a0Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, greeted the participants of the 9th<\/sup>\u00a0Scientific Symposium and told about the experience of using probiotics after combined antibiotic therapy in patients with COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Natalia Banadyha<\/strong>, the Head of the Department of Paediatrics, Faculty of Postgraduate Education, I.\u00a0Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, reported on \u201cCurrent approaches to respiratory infections in COVID-19 pandemic\u201d.<\/p>\n

The speech of\u00a0Innu Friesen<\/strong>\u00a0from Labor Berlin-Charite Vivantes GmbH, Berlin, Germany, on \u201cCharacteristics of chemoresistant tuberculosis, features of diagnosis and treatment\u201d was very interesting to the symposium participants.<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Olena Samohalska<\/strong>, the Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy of I.\u00a0Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, presented to the participants of the symposium the report on \u201cCOVID-19 and liver damage\u201d.<\/p>\n

The report on \u201cPost-COVID syndrome \u2013 challenging issues of rehabilitation\u201d was presented by Professor\u00a0Lilia Todoriko<\/strong>, the Head of the Department of Tuberculosis and Pulmonology of Bukovyna State Medical University.<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Vadym Zhebel<\/strong>, the Head of the Department of Internal Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine No.\u00a02 of Vinnytsia National Medical University, reported on \u201cMicronutrients and antioxidants in prevention and treatment of acute respiratory viral infections\u201d.<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Ihor Hospodarskyi\u00a0<\/strong>from I.\u00a0Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University continued the plenary session with the report on \u201cTreatment of allergic rhinitis in immunocompromised patients\u201d.<\/p>\n

The report by\u00a0Oksana Kapustinska<\/strong>, Associate Professor of the Department of Therapy No.\u00a01, Faculty of Postgraduate Education, Medical Diagnostics, Hematology and Transfusiology, Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University, on \u201cHepatolienal syndrome in the gastroenterology practice. Focus on Gaucher disease\u201d was really interesting to the audience.<\/p>\n

Nadiya Reha<\/strong>, Associate Professor of the Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care and Clinical Immunology, I.\u00a0Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, expanded on current approaches to the treatment of recurrent herpes.<\/p>\n

The International Pulmonology School within the Scientific Symposium is traditional.<\/p>\n
