A meeting of the scientific circle of the Department of Physiology, Bioethics and Biosafety chaired by Professor\u00a0Vadziuk Stepan Nestorovych<\/strong>, the Head of the Department took place on October 5, 2021.<\/p>\n

As some of the students are in self-isolation, the meeting was held in a mixed format.<\/p>\n

The work of the student research circle has a practice-oriented direction with the use of clinical methods for assessment of body functions: electroencephalography, electromyography, electrocardiography, rheovasography, spirometry, spirography, peak fluometry, perimetry, continuous keratometry, and refractometry, ophthalmotonometry, ophthalmoscopy, tonal threshold audiometry, nystagmography, mathematical analysis of heart rhythm and methods of psychophysiological research.<\/p>\n

During the first meeting (2021-2022 academic year) the students got acquainted with the topics of the circle and methods of psychophysiological research.<\/p>\n

Professor Vadziuk Stepan Nestorovych, the Head of the Department of Physiology, Bioethics and Biosafety told about the history of the circle, the rights and responsibilities of the participants and the prospects for students participating in it.<\/p>\n

Oksana Ratynska, Associate Professor of the Department of Physiology, Bioethics and Biosafety, presented the methods of psychophysiological research to the students.<\/p>\n

She described in detail the methods of diagnosis of mental states and personality traits, the motivational sphere of personality, interpersonal relationships and communication competence, cognitive processes, diagnosis of intelligence and creativity.<\/p>\n

Roman Mykhailovych Shmata, Assistant Professor of the Department of Physiology, Bioethics and Biosafety, expanded on the fundamentals of bioethics and biosafety, as well as the work plan of the student research circle of the Department for 2021\/2022 academic year.<\/p>\n

He also demonstrated an overview of the scientific achievements of students in the last 5 years and introduced to the participants the structure of a research paper.<\/p>\n
