The students-volunteers of the university movement \u201cMISERICORDIA\u201d and local history studio \u201cTerpoliany\u201d visited Mykulyntsi Regional Physiotherapeutic and Rehabilitation Hospital. They met with Zynovii Yasenyk, the chief physician, medical staff and patients of the health resort and discussed the issues of medical rehabilitation of patients. During the visit, Yevhenia Vakhnovska, the head of the general department, showed the work of the hospital and its departments: general, neurological, children\u2019s. She said that the main therapeutic factors are hydrogen sulfide water, sulfide peat bog, and among the additional methods of treatment are widely used a variety of electrical treatments, whirlpool baths, hand massages and physical therapy. Medical students were present during some procedures, including application of paraffin ozokerite, electroplating, darsonvalization, electrophoresis, interdine and ultrasound.<\/p>\n

The students also spent time with the child patients, treated them with sweets.<\/p>\n

Undoubtedly, the meeting was meaningful, interesting and useful for future doctors.<\/p>\n

Anastasia Nadkevych, Marta Struk, Diana Storoshchuk, the students of the Faculty of Medicine and Jerry Nii Alemonai, the student of the International Students Faculty, joined the event.<\/p>\n
