On April 8, 2021, the teachers of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology of TNMU took part in the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0National Interdisciplinary Research and Training Conference \u201cInclusive Education: Idea, Strategy, Result\u201d; it took place at Ternopil National Pedagogical University.<\/p>\n

The event was managed by the rector of TNPU, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor\u00a0Bohdan Bohdanovych Buyak<\/strong>\u00a0and the Head of the Inclusive Resource Centre of TNPU, PhD, Associate Professor\u00a0Zoriana Ihorivna Udych.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The director of the Poroshenko Charitable Foundation, PhD\u00a0Maryna Anatoliivna Poroshenko<\/strong>\u00a0welcomed the participants.<\/p>\n

The teachers of Ternopil National Medical University took part in the event. The Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor\u00a0Olena Petrivna Venher<\/strong>\u00a0expanded on the peculiarities of medical care and psychological support for the students enrolled in the program of inclusive education. She also stressed the need for interdisciplinary communication and joint work between the universities in urgent problems of exceptional children.<\/p>\n

Olena Petrivna stressed that the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology, is located at the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise \u201cTernopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital\u201d of the Ternopil Regional Council, with the assistance of General Director\u00a0Volodymyr Vasyliovych Shkrobot<\/strong>\u00a0and the Rector of TNMU, Doctor of Medical Sciences\u00a0Mykhaylo Mykhailovych Korda<\/strong>, is implementing a rehabilitation system for exceptional children. The children\u2019s department of the hospital meets the world requirements for diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapeutic, physiotherapeutic and pedagogical correction. The scientific potential of the department and highly qualified doctors can work together to help their patients, improve their socialization and quality of life.<\/p>\n

Assistant of the department\u00a0Tetiana Ivanivna Ivanitska<\/strong>\u00a0shared the results of a study on the depressive disorders and suicidal tendencies among the students enrolled in the program of inclusive education at Ternopil secondary schools.<\/p>\n

So, the aim of the conference was to consolidate the achievements of the introduction of inclusion into the education in Ukraine; popularization of the best innovative experience in providing high quality educational services to people with health problems, special educational needs; joining the efforts of different specialists to create an inclusive educational environment; determination of prospects for development of inclusive education in Ukraine and current areas of scientific and methodological research on this topic.<\/p>\n

The participants of the event are grateful to the organizers, in particular\u00a0Zoriana Ihorivna Udych<\/strong>, for the opportunity to take part in the conference, exchange valuable experience and plan the vector of further interuniversity cooperation.<\/p>\n
