In March 2021, the Academic and Research Institute of Nursing of I.\u00a0Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University received charitable support for medical equipment from McEwen University (Edmonton, Canada).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Cooperation between TNMU and McEwen University has been going on since 2014. During this time, three grant projects have been implemented, as well as exchange programmes for teachers and students. For the past three years, a joint Canadian-Ukrainian course of Global Health has been introduced into the curricula of nursing at both universities.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The medical equipment received this year, i.e. two infusiomats, four pulse oximeters, electrocardiograph, a model of the forearm for injections, will be used in the Laboratory for Practical Skills Development of the Institute of Nursing during training sessions as well as internships by nursing students.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This is especially valuable today, at a time of pandemic, when routine student clinical practice is limited, and the training of qualified nurses for work with recent medical equipment is in great demand.<\/p>\n

TNMU is grateful to the managers of McEwan University as well as the Director of Ukrainian Initiatives of the Ukrainian Centre for Resources and Development of McEwan University Larysa Haiduk for the medical equipment provided.<\/p>\n
