The event was organized by the Hellenic Society of Medicinal Chemistry supported by the European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry and Medical Biology. The multifaceted role of pharmaceutical analysis in the new science\u201d (head of the section \u2013 Prof. Gikas Evangelos); \u201cCOVID apocalypse. Only I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University represented Ukraine. Professor of the department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, the University of Athens (Greece), Anna Tsantili invited the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and the Department of Pharmacognosy and Medical Botany of TNMU to take part in the 18<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Hellenic Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry, because of a long-lasting cooperation<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aliona Savych<\/strong>, a doctoral student of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Medical Botany represented I.\u00a0Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University at the 18th Hellenic Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry. She presented a report on \u201cPhytochemical and pharmacological research of new plant mixtures for treatment and prevention of type 2 diabetes mellitus, establishment of correlation between phytochemical composition and their pharmacodynamics\u201d (section A, medicinal chemist glimpse in the arsenal of nature, Section President Prof. Zoidis Grigoris), on phytochemical and pharmacological studies of herbal antidiabetic herbal medicinal products and correlations between biologically active substances and their pharmacodynamics. The results of the research are part of\u00a0<strong>Aliona Savych<\/strong>\u2019s doctoral thesis, Professor\u00a0<strong>Svitlana Marchyshyn,<\/strong>\u00a0the Head of the Department of Aristotle University, Greece<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Professor\u00a0<strong>Hadjipavlou-Litina Dimitra<\/strong>\u00a0(Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Aristotle University, Greece, Hirsha Index \u2013 49) has been cooperating with TNMU for many years and has developed joint publications with the researchers of the Department of Pharmacy. Lilia Lohoida, the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry provided lectures on pharmaceutical chemistry under the program \u201cErasmus+ teaching\u201d at the University of Aristotle (Thessaloniki, Greece) in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The researchers of the Departments of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy and Medical Botany appreciate the invitation by the organizers of the 18<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Hellenic Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry and Professor Anna Tsantili and the opportunity to join the international symposium and improve research skills.
