On May 22-27, Associate Professor Igor Drach, the Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, and Associate Professor Hryhoriy Zahrychuk, the Deputy Executive Secretary, held a training \u201cEducational Centres of Donbas\/Crimea-Ukraine: Features of the Admission Campaign-2021\u201d. The training took place in the village of Kosmach, Ivano-Frankivsk region, in the premises of the International Green School. The event was organized by the Open Policy Foundation and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).<\/p>\n

The training program was very useful for preparation of the admission campaign. In particular, the new legal framework, the procedure of simplified admission, features of promotion of educational centres \u201cDonbass\/Crimea-Ukraine\u201d in education institutions, management in the \u201cclouds\u201d, educational component on the principles of gender equality and social inclusion.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The representatives of the admission commissions of the institutions of higher aducation from Rivne, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Kyiv, Luhansk and Donetsk gathered at the International Green School to gain new acquaintances and experience. By joint efforts, the participants developed a project of the website of the Academic Centre, a road map of the work organization, systematized the document flow of the AC. Participants prepared a media map of the regions of Ukraine, which allows fast posting information for entrants from the temporarily occupied territories; they participated in the development of the guidelines for employees of academic centres of admission commissions.<\/p>\n

The organizers managed to attract interesting speakers. The representatives of universities were able to chat with Svitlana Kretovych, the head of the Main Department of Higher Education and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education and Science, Vitalii Nosok, the state expert of the expert group on higher education and adult education, and Iryna Zhdanov, the Head of the Open Policy Foundation. The experience of Iryna Marchenko, the head of the Central Committee of the Kherson State Maritime Academy, was very useful.<\/p>\n

Despite the busy agenda, there was time to prevent burnout: breathing exercises, Jacobson gymnastics, learning ancient vesniankas (traditional summer songs), traditional Hutsul dances, a master class in an ethno-workshop on Easter painting, hiking in the mountains and to the waterfall and, of course, delicious Hutsul cheese. The TNMU Admissions Committee express gratitude to the organizers and sponsors of the training, the Open Policy Foundation, the Ministry of Education and Science and the USAID, and wish all the entrants success in coming into their dream specialty.<\/p>\n
