The students of Ternopil National Medical University are active and positive. Even in quarantine, they find an opportunity to spend a useful and interesting time. On the initiative of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), a medical quiz was held on January 23, 2021 in TNMU. It was prepared by representatives of the education department of this association with the support of Associate Professor Olena Pokryshko, the Deputy Director of the Centre for Educational Work and Cultural Development.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Eight students of different years of study competed for the main prize. They were divided into 4 teams, each representing a specific colour of the Ghanaian flag:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Team Red \u2013 Christel Ayangba (6th<\/sup>\u00a0year student), Zulaiha Naadu Ali (4th<\/sup>\u00a0year student);<\/p>\n

Team Gold \u2013 Rachel Amoah Osei (6th<\/sup>\u00a0year student), David Okyere (3rd<\/sup>\u00a0year student);<\/p>\n

Team Green \u2013 Chief Curtis Brown (5th<\/sup>\u00a0year student), Dennis Nkansah Appiah (4th<\/sup>\u00a0year student);<\/p>\n

Team Black \u2013 Kwaku Osei Agyeman (5th<\/sup>\u00a0year student), Engmann Gabriel Nii Amatey (4th<\/sup>\u00a0year student).<\/p>\n

The participants proved their knowledge in medicine during the quiz. They answered the questions on theoretical and clinical subjects. Some of the questions were taken from past Ghana medical license exams. The students have to pass it to confirm their diploma in Ghana. This block of questions for students was prepared by university graduates.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Also they were joined by an alumnus of TNMU Dr. Mohammed Adnan Amadu via video call. He shared the genesis of the annual medical quiz and encouraged the participants and the entire union to keep up their good work which will lead them to become successful doctors. Mohammed also stressed the importance of close cooperation between students of different years of study. He noted that a sign of a full-fledged educational process is mutual support, mutual assistance between future doctors. To his point of view, undergraduates should help junior students to better master the subjects. Mohammed also said that after the classes, it should be mandatory to discuss the material studied and the student who understands better should help others to comprehend it.<\/p>\n

Olena Pokryshko always supports such a students\u2019 initiative. She expressed her joy towards the brilliant students and emphasized that \u2018They are all Winners\u2019 for having had the courage to participate in such a quiz, test their knowledge.<\/p>\n

Team Red emerged victorious and took home a Cash Prize. All the participants were awarded with certificates endorsed by Professor Petro Selskyi, the Dean of the International Students Faculty.<\/p>\n
